  1. I feel your pain. 8 to 10 ft leaders on a 16' boat is a circus act. I use the same rigger rods for finger lakes and Lake O. Slightly heavy for the finger's and slightly under for mature salmon. 6 yrs no issues. Okuma 8' green tips. Sent from my SM-G900P using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  4. Glad you had a good run. The stories make the trip, but my grandkids remind me they've heard them a thousand times. Lol. Debating on weather to head to Cayuga or Skinny this weekend. Really like to hit Keuka but it's tough to leave fish to find fish. Thanks for the imput. Helps alot for us long haulers. Sent from my SM-G900P using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  8. Thanks , I think I remember Brockport, was up there for a charter yrs back. 6 hr hump, have to do a 3 day in case of bad conditions. So hard to get lucky. Sent from my SM-G900P using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. Good report, might jump on that too. Need to expand range for summer instead of waiting till labor day weekend. Is lodging available around there? I know the oak was tough. Sent from my SM-G900P using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  11. Nice fish. When you say weighted ,how many oz. Gets you down to say 25' at say 100+ back? Tried figuring it out for years. Gave up and bought mini dipseys. Sent from my SM-G900P using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. Awesome trip. I run to the ADK every summer pike and bass hunting. That's a beauty northern. I'd been tempted to mount her. Sent from my SM-G900P using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. After a great overnighter at Cayuga, and a relaxing day home, relized again how important the simple things are. And now the Koi are spawning in the patio pond. Works for me. Where too next? Sent from my SM-G900P using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. Beautiful steelhead. Congrats. Gotta love small craft success. Not easy for sure but very rewarding. Only takes one! Sent from my SM-G900P using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. Would like to hit Keuka next run. Haven't been on that lake since the 90's. Used to be a favorite smallmouth area on the point. Any info on trout or bass would be great, otherwise I'll just wing it. Thanks Sent from my SM-G900P using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. Made the run Fri night. Launched at long point this morning with my nephew. Didn't have to go far. Stayed out front 90 -200. 6 lakers, one beauty bow, and a 3 lb LL. Could have dragged a soda can and caught fish. Spoons and FF's down 25 to 60. Ran up to the north end for the afternoon. Pretty choppy but managed a pair of 5lb large mouth and a couple pickerel. Just got home. I'm toast. Tony had a ball! All relased, unfortunately I failed as photographer on the bow, big male almost 7lbs. Sent from my SM-G900P using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  19. Need some intel please. Lake O looks iffy for Saturday for me. Was going to try Cayuga. Wondering if you folks had the same storms as we did. How's the lake looking for debris etc. Is it worth the run? Thanks Sent from my SM-G900P using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  22. Not discounting anything, but we all could use a hot meal and some shut eye before humping the next hill. Sent from my SM-G900P using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. Nasty storms today, downed trees, patio furniture all over. Total chaos. Reminded me of who's in charge. Took advantage of a 5 hr window and ran to Mauch Chunk lake. Only guy here, surface temp dropped 4° since last week. Perfect. Favorite spinner bait and a perch challenger. 3 pickerel and 6 bass. Moral of the story, just when hope is fading it just takes a little peace to fix it. Worked for me. Sent from my SM-G900P using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. Carp have feelings too, this is going to get ugly.lol Sent from my SM-G900P using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. These guys are great Hondo. A wealth of information if you read between the lines and think about it. Took me 12 yrs, but then small crafters can't touch it. Work, study, listen, repeat. Oh, and luck is always your best bet . Sent from my SM-G900P using Lake Ontario United mobile app
