  1. And that's how its done. My personal opinion, is thats parenting done right. Good for you !!! Congrats to him on some TOADS !
  2. Glad you came out this way ! Awesome structure from the bar to the hill and east to wilson. Way to pick away at em ! Nothing more frustrating than a loaded screen and an empty box....
  3. Don't. Man up, get 2 battery's, send it. Never Look Back
  4. So do you think a thruwire bait is a good recommendation ? It sounds like you have some knowledge about musky baits, maybe you could help the OP with some recommendations ?
  5. Anything with though wire construction. There are so many good swimming baits out there. Legend, Baker, fretthold, heddon, Gramma etc. I have a "musky mentor". His advice, get a solid reel with 100# braid, a quality stiff rod, wire leader, appropriate swivels that won't open, a through wire bait and play the moon. As already said, when it's their time to eat, you will get bit. It was stressed to me that it's also as important to have a deep and wide net, a good set of pliers and a pair of side cutters for a buried hook. Keep the fish alive, so there will be more Giants to be had tomorrow. There are some mega Giants up there. Good luck !
  6. I ha e Cannon and another manufacturer that was not listed. Can't remember the name.... After seeing a bunch of tracks, they are all pretty much the same dang thing and will do the job. Buy the cheapest name brand you can.
  7. We have been rained out of 3/4 games so far....
  8. I hear ya. Ready for a warm-up. Ready for a few dry days. Ready for SPRING !
  9. Nifty idea. Beats bagging sand and your using the lake against itself. Hope they work !!
  10. Will feel great to cut through some Ontario rollers !
  11. That's the best pic I've seen in awhile. Pretty sure I can speak for everybody when I say, that right there is what it's all about. Kudos to you!
  12. Do a night run in the shallows. Stay away on a weekend though. Flat line stick baits in 5-10fow Daytime try 15-30 fow. Lead cores and sticks, or mark a pocket of fish and jig blades / hairs / emeralds. This time of year, I agree with the above post. Def have a backup plan for small Mouth. Either way, be a sheep and follow the boats just don't be a googan
  13. I'm ok with that, but I want to sell both.
  14. Interesting read. It's obvious there will be a greater chance of death with C&R but they don't really say it's going to affect the population enough to be worried. So, only target Lakers when the surface temps are similar to the bottom so they have a higher survival rate ?
  15. Was there a few days ago. One ramp useable. First section is under water but def launch-able.
  16. Under a lean to the Cabela's job will work. My cover fades in about a month but it's outside. I've had them replace it 2x. It's also not waterproof. Will keep most of the rain out but def allows the boat to get wet. I'm gonna build something soon to keep the boat under, cause I'm sick of covering every trip
  17. My man ! Nice work! Looks like my girl was back at em!!! Not in the rod holders either !!! She's a Savage We got nothing but ice water down at our end.... Might do a bald eagle run if things don't warm up !
