Dunkirk, NY Fishing
NymphO replied to Char_Master's topic in Questions About Trout & Salmon Trolling?
Dunkirk has a decent launch with parking. I've been hearing alot of Lakers being caught on a walleye program. Most of those reports are 100fow. Truth be told, I don't know of too many guys that target them, but those that do seem to have no problem finding them and catching them according to pics / social media posts. Last year we got a tank that had to be close to 20# in 90fow on a rigger with a clean meat rig (yes, I ran it for walleyes) right in front of Dunkirk. Hit the deep water, go low and slow and you should do fine. -
Well said my man. Your passion for the sport doesn't compare to your passion for helping others. Fantastic job on raising that amount of money for a great cause. You really set the bar for the rest of us. Thanks for encouraging me to join RFAC as I see it will be an annual event I'll look forward to. Most important, I'm certain your making Evie proud. Hats off to you !

Capt Vince, without sounding like a brown noser, that really means a lot coming from a seasoned pro like yourself. It was my pleasure to be involved ! I look at our box, and then look at what we were able to raise and I feel alot better about the day! As far as being hardcore in a tinny.... You are not wrong.

What a great event ! Was humbled to be a part of it, and to fish with THE best and most professional fisherman (and fisherwomen) of the south shore. Stephanie put on a great tourney start to finish and what a great purpose to fish for ! I had a blast, even with a little typo on my name... and i'll never let that go...[emoji23] I was lucky enough to have a 2x breast cancer SURVIVOR on my boat as team capt. At the end of the day, she had a blast and made a memory she won't ever forget, so the #'s we weighed meant nothing compared to the dollars we raised for a great cause. Thanks again Steve and Vince, from the REEL Housewives of Orleans county!!

I felt bad for my ladies. I promised them it was the first time I've yelled at other boaters (on lakeO). Sometimes you just gotta put people in their place. Was just odd to have 2 instances in one day, when out in the deeper water.... All the while I'm trying to keep my 8 rod program running, with 3 ladies on a smaller boat. But, we survived with 0 issues, just a bit of yelling. Lol -

We pounded the inside. Temps were awful. It was actually cold on the boat out there today. 60-160 was ice top to bottom. 360-400 was 44 down 35 and there was actually a pile of marks on the graph. Amazing the difference in view when you zoom to top 40fow on the graph. We had a terrible streak of losses today went 2/7. Wish ladyO was a little flatter today and my ladies and I would have been out deep. Did take one great hit, unlike any other dipsy hit I've ever seen. Rod was buried in the water...... And that same rod will never be the same ! Also. Our big fish of the day came on a 9 color with, well, a Long A bomber. -

When #24 hit the cooler, we got a triple bringing lines in..... Its unreal the fish in that lake. I haven't gone out once this year without seeing a full screen all trip. They are high, on bottom, shallows and deep. Drag something with a hook and you gonna catch fish. Bottom bounce. Fly fish, whatever !
