  1. I agree with sk8man although mine is plumbed to the fuel tank but it absolutely needs a shutoff. The main motor will pull in through the kicker line if you dont have it, possibly creating a lean condition. I have had no problem at all with the setup but this Saturday the alarm on my 225 went off because of water in the fuel. The 225 is a two stroke so I couldnt hear it until I backed of the throttle. Every time I head out fishing it is about 30 miles round trip, I have not had an issue in 3 years. Gassed up before I left just like I always do. On the kicker selection I would likely go with at least the 8 but probably the 9.9. The weight isnt that much more and if you do lose the main motor a larger kicker does give you more maneuverability. There have been days out there in my 23 ft that I couldnt turn the boat trolling with the 9.9 and had to fire up the main motor.
  2. 3 for 6 today 1 dink and 2 mature kings down 90ish over 130. They liked blue today. Sent from my SM-G950U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. Yeah it is like a big 3 +" float
  4. Did you try running it with no thermostat? Perhaps it is sticking and I have seen new ones that were bad right out of the box. Does the oil level and color look ok?
  5. AirBNB has a few places one of which is Joe Bearup at Bearup marine by the Chaumont Yacht club. I think it comes with a boat slip that will accomdate a 30ft boat. That is on sawmill bay on the opposite side of Point Salubrius.
  6. I can wave to you from across the bay. From there you can find calm water regardless of wind direction. On either side of guffins, around cherry island, or long point on point peninsula. Plenty of good places to drown bait. Likely less boat traffic and more open restaurants than henderson right now. You can by bait around chaumont but dont expect to go into any place with any significant tackle. You can get hooks and sinkers but not much more.
  7. If you get over to horse island you cant drive between the island and the mainland with most boats, it is best to go out and around if you are heading over to the sackets side.
  8. Bass Island Gull Island and Horse Island, the area just off from morgias beach all have pretty decent fishing around them year round.
  9. Excellent.......although sometimes I think the wave height unit of measure is off. Should be meters and not feet at least by the time they reach the henderson area!
  10. No reason to stay in the bay if it is calm. You can take.a.short.trip through the cut and if your uncomfortable go back through the cut back into the bay. Sent from my SM-G950U using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  13. As long as there arent alot of boats out that is how I run mine. 1 imbecile turning behind you will take that copper with them.

  15. So the hard west winds blew all the warm water on the surface our way so is it cold now on the west end?
  16. Thanks for the replies. I had one spot where the surface was 61.8 and it was 61.8 at 85 feet. And yeah an fishing was poor I marked a few good piles but no takers.
  17. Was out this weekend and it was around 62 degrees at the surface....and according to my fishhawk probe it was still 59-61 down to 90ish feet. Anyone else see anything similar????Hoping my probe hasnt crapped the bed. The speeds and the depth reading seemed correct. Thanks

  19. Congrats eljefe417 that sounds like a great deal.
  20. I hooked into Browns in about 40 fow 25 down last weekend 2 for 3 in about an hour out in front of the mouth of Stony. Went out deeper and should have stayed shallow. The water has warmed in the bays pretty good the last few days but most of the guys I know are still chasing Walleye around here.
  21. Went 2 for 3 on browns. Down 25 in 40 fow. The one we lost was on a mag dipsy out 65. All on spoons. Nothing hit the three color at all. Both of the browns were around 8 lbs. When it slowed down we went deeper and got a few releases but no fish. Likely lakers. Went from 40 to 150 and marked very little anywhere. I probably should have stayed in 40 foot outside the mouth of stony.[emoji849] Sent from my SM-G950U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
