    Hello everybody, I live in the Albany area and in the spring we have a striped bass run up the Hudson River. And along with the stripers, blueback herring come up and spawn as well. Has anyone used these herring for cut bait? If so, were they just as good as the ones you get in the bait shops, or not? I just finished brining some up. Just wondering if I'm wasting my time. I brined them in a solution of pickling salt, borax, and distilled water, and through in some green food coloring. Here's how they came out.

    Never had autopilot before, going to put one on the new to me boat (25' with an outboard, with hydraulic steering). Which brand should I go with? Or stay away from? What should I look out for? Thanks

    Sold / Closed 1982 Trophy

    Selling my 1982 Trophy with trailer. It's a great starter boat for Lake Ontario. Selling because my kids have out grown it, and I purchased a bigger one. Included is a bimini top with rocket launcher, ez steer for a Mercury kicker, along with the kicker motor bracket. Also has trim tabs, and new prop. We have used the boat for the past 3 years, trolls great. For the main engine, its a Volvo Penta 125, with a 270 outdrive, has 569 hours. Sips gas, I've trolled for 3 days straight, all day long and never dropped below a quarter tank. I also have a couple of Cannon manual downriggers I can give you to get you started. First picture shows how I had it set up. Also, the trailer has new tires and rims, and led lights. Asking $3,000, or best offer, please PM, or call 518-727-4435, I'm located in the Albany area.     I just picked up a CenterPoint Amped 415, and shot it for the first time today. It's awesome, tack driver. This is a picture of a 2 shot group at 50 yards. Every grouping was that close.
