  1. Was told it ran, but it's been sitting for a couple of years. It's off the boat my son is restoring, and that's all I know about it. Has controlls, with electric start, but needs a new key. Maybe it runs, or it's just a parts motor. It is not locked up. Selling as is, best offer.
  2. Never fished in this one. Do you have to fish out of Sodus, or can you go out of any surrounding port, as long as you are at the weigh-in in time? Thanks
  3. I started my kids off with a spinning reel paired with a 5' ultralight Ugly Stik. It was just easier for them to reel, and cast. For whatever reason they couldn't get the hang of the old Zebco. They started with that setup at 4 and 5 years old and never looked back. You can't beat those Ugly Stiks for the beatings the kids put on them. 😬😅 They are 17 and 18 now and still have those rods.
  4. FishUSA Flagship. Running them for the last 3yrs. Love them!
  5. Are you looking for one with reels, or just the mast? I have a big Jon mast with the pulleys, but no reels.
  6. I did mine last winter and it came out great. If you want, give me a call, and I can go over the whole process. To much to text, lol Jason 518-727-4435
  7. It sounds like I basically have the same set up as you. My outboard is wired to one battery, and everything else to the other. I hooked the panels and the batteries exactly how the diagram shows 5 years ago, and now I'm going to jinx myself, lol, I've never had a problem. I run 4 riggers, 3 fish finders, auto pilot, and radio. And I'll troll all day long. On those bright sunny days, the charging unit will show 14 volts, but it will only change the batteries if they need it. For me it's been fantastic. If you come across something in your research, please share. Always willing to learn.
  8. Not 100% sure if you can do that. I would assume you can.(don't assume anything) If not, you would need 2 different systems. I have 2 batteries, and that's how it showed to hook them up for a 12v system. Never had a problem, keeps both charged. Why would you want to hook them up separately? What would be your concern? This is new to me as well.
  9. Here is my exact setup. No inverter needed. I mounted the panels to my hardtop on a rail system, so if I have to take them off, they'll slide right out. Then I ran the panel wires down into my electronics box, and connected them to the charge controller. (I mounted my charge controller in my electronics box.) Then all you have to do is run your wires from the charge controller to your batteries. Super simple.
  10. This is exactly how mine is hooked up
  11. I mounted a 200 watt solar system on my hardtop 5 years ago, and absolutely love it. There is no need to plug into your 110 outlet. The panel/panels run to the charge controller, and then you'll run your wires directly to your battery/batteries. The charger controller will only charge your batteries if needed. If you want to install an inverter you can, but it's not needed for the charging process, only if you want to plug stuff in. On my charge controller, it has multiple USB plugs which is great to keep phones charged. Again I absolutely love the system, no worrying about shore power, or taking your batteries in and out of the boat to charge. I've never seen my voltage drop below 12v.
  12. Yep, I take it out of the water when I'm not there. Hopefully we can meet up there at some point this season.
  13. Fished out of Green Harbor (that's basically right next to Oak Orchard) Monday though Wednesday. Boated 26 fish, lost 10. Nothing huge, a lot of little guys, but mostly medium sized fish 8-15 pound range.(Kings, Coho, and Steelhead) Definitely a morning, and late afternoon bite. Once the sun came up it shut right off. The best water was 245'-275', 110'- 90' down on the riggers, with an East troll at 2.8 mph. It was a constant 42-45 degrees down there. Both spoons and meat rigs did about the same. The original Moonshine rv hulk was the best producer, along with a uv light green/chartreuse glow Dreamweaver. It's one of there new ones, forgot the name. All Mag size. Meat rigs, Atomic S&S stud behind a 6" Chin Music, and 8" Mt Dew spin doctor out 190' and 200' with mag deeper divers. One thing I noticed with all the dead bait floating around, most of the fish I cleaned had nothing in their stomachs. Hopefully the big boys show up soon!
  14. Busy time of year. I wouldn't give up on them just yet.
  15. Give Salmon Country a call. They have their own little launch right by where you would keep your boat. I kept my boat there for a few years. I did the same thing you're looking to do.
  16. I did the same thing you're thinking about doing years ago. Had the swivel bases, and extendable booms from my uni trools, and put them on my mag 5's, converting them into 10's. The mag 5 and mag 10 from what I researched at the time have the same motor. The only difference is that the 10 comes with the extendable boom, and swivel base. I couldn't justify buying 10's when I had everything to make the 5's into 10's to save money.
  17. I just purchased a few 30's and a couple 45's, and I have to say, they're really nice out of the box. My first impression, beefy! If they preform as well as my cold waters, I'll be very happy, and getting some more. Only time will tell.
  18. Planning on hitting the flea market up. Where would be a good place to stay, and park my boat without any problems. Thanks for the help!
  19. Thanks for getting back to me, I gave my buddy your #. He's name is ken
  20. Sent PM. I have a buddy that's interested.
