I also had the newer otter boards last year they pulled okay but with dipsy's on them they pulled far back I went to Caledonia to a machine shop and had them make me those keels and yes the keels do not have a weight they're essentially just the same height width length. They pull a lot better now with dipsy's on and they still float, if you get a second keel just be careful how much weight because it could sink the otter boat when it's still Sent from my SM-A102U using Lake Ontario United mobile app

On boats less than 20 feet in length with no capacity plate, use the following rule of thumb to calculate the number of persons (weighing 150 pounds each, on average) the boat can carry safely in good weather conditions. Number of people = (boat length (ft.) × boat width (ft.))÷15 For example, for a boat 18 feet long by 6 feet wide, the number of persons is 18 times 6 (or 108) divided by 15, which equals seven 150-pound persons (or a total person weight of 7 × 150, or 1050 pounds). 1991 80hp merc , spark plug is ignited it produces electricity, a regular spark plug has a frequency between 60 and 120 hertz the Fishhawk runs on 70 hurts and your fish finders run from 120 hertz and up depending on your model the resistor plugs have an insulator that insulates those hurts so you don't have interference Sent from my SM-A102U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
I had problems with mine and I fixed it I have an outboard motor and what the problem happened to be was the spark plugs believe it or not, the spark plugs were creating an electromagnetic field interfering with the signal of the Fish Hawk so I ordered resistor spark plugs and it fix the problem Sent from my SM-A102U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
I would consider using 20 or 25lb mono because of the sand flees 15 lb you will be cleaning your lines alot more and false releases can happen only in the summer Sent from my SM-A102U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
