  1. I've used conversion varnish works well on smithwicks I used a matt sheen
  2. Awesome fishin trip , Kids make it so fun, Memories for a lifetime
  3. The positive ion control works good on my boat, when I pull my downrigger up it shuts off right at the water line as far as they claim you catch more fish maybe, one thing I have to say is make sure you cover your downrigger up, when it rains any water on the downrigger wire starts the positive ion I would put your downrigger on a breaker, just my experience had my battery die a few times on this without covering it
  4. Great idea I'll try that when I go solo 👍
  5. Ha I'm used to holding mine at with one hand and trying to land a salmon in the other I have T-Rex arms that's a good idea I'm going to try it thanks
  6. A year or two ago I could not order any so I had a local guide make them, one thing I can say make sure you're main line for your otter board is good if the line breaks off the otter board I know mine will sink, but it made a huge difference

  15. I use amsteel blue it's a marine rope 7/64 of a inch maybe a little overboard but pulling my otterboards with double keels it's been great its rated for 1400lbs line is thin enough works great for me Sent from my SM-A102U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. I also had the newer otter boards last year they pulled okay but with dipsy's on them they pulled far back I went to Caledonia to a machine shop and had them make me those keels and yes the keels do not have a weight they're essentially just the same height width length. They pull a lot better now with dipsy's on and they still float, if you get a second keel just be careful how much weight because it could sink the otter boat when it's still Sent from my SM-A102U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
