    She looks good! I like to see old boats brought back to life; I have put about $45,000 in my 1988 Thompson but I think it was worth it and my customers really like the old girl.

    I have caught walleye in very murky water on scented lures while the other lures without scent did not produce. I am sold.

    I have a Cannon Mini-Mag with 24" stainless boom, was in use up to 2 years ago and seems to be working fine. Where are you located? I am in Cape Vincent and shipping may become an issue because of the boom. I am asking $100 for the unit but as of yet, have no idea on shipping.

    A quick check on Google says: YES! ALL boaters in our state must have passed some form of safety boating class in their state to pilot a boat in NY waters.

    Is there a big difference in blowback between a herbie and the 10 pound ball?

    Not only do we deal with our fishermen knowing the whistle (horn) signals, we have boaters from other states and they may have no clue as to what is going on. I would only consider using the signals during a fog situation where you cannot see what the other boaters are doing.
