NYS Crossbow Size Laws

Anyone know if NYS is considering changing the crossbow size limitations?

 

A lot of compact crossbows don’t meet the minimum width requirements if I am reading it right.

 

Looking into a new crossbow and would wait if there was a chance of law update.

Looks like NYS changed crossbow season regulations and crossbow size. I upgraded last year and prob would have looked at smaller xbows with this info.
