Kinda related to the topic...do most agree that Cohos are better table fare than Kings?

Frankly. I  prefer Lakers, Browns and Coho for table fare. The flesh on both are always orange (in my experience) whereas the Kings can be pale even in silvers (in my experience). I like it raw and the Kings do not always provide that sort of quality (in my experience).
I think (hope) I'm going to hit it just right for all species as I arrive at Four Mile Creek State Park Sunday the 8th and leave June 16th, launching out of Fort Niagara. I've only launched out of Niagara once a few years back and we were way to early for that trip not having very good luck. I recall the advice to head out to the buoy but if anyone has other advice I would love to hear it. My first mate once asked me why we always go left/west out of all the ports even on lake Erie. Well, I (fishing solo this year) have no choice but to turn right out of Niagara. On the aforementioned trip I noticed that the depth on the bar is erratic. How do you guys troll that without getting hung up on the peaks?

BTW
I have been developing a product that I hope to present to anglers for their opinions of the various versions thereof. I hope to narrow the versions down to three according to the feedback I receive. Here is a video I made a while back but this is just a snapshot and some things have changed since then. This will reduce the need to brace the reel against your forearm or grabbing the uncomfortable reel as these are the techniques used to counter this force. I don't expect to get rich from it but it is a novel device that some might appreciate.

Here is the full version video. I hope this doesn't violate any forum rules. My intensions are to approach anglers for their hands on opinions at this point and while I will have a few that one might have this is not intended to be a sales pitch at this time. If you see me come get a feel for the Gripp Ippy and offer your opinions.
