Went 3 for 6 today. Landed two little kings and a nice mature. Dumped a smaller king, a nice king and a nice unknown fish. Could have been a laker but the king I landed came five minutes later so who knows. Either way, good outing and it’s fun to see that even in tougher years, these fish still eat the jig!

Best screen was 125, tons of bait inside 100.

Nice going! If you don't mind me asking what type of jig are you using?

A 2 ounce flutter jig. The EJ jigs they sell at sportsman’s tend to work well. I also do well on some custom ones a buddy and I made up.

Thank you for sharing that. I haven't tried it but I have noticed more people are trying their hand at it. I'll bet it's a ball when you hook up!

It’s really pretty incredible. Cool thing also is anyone with a boat can do it with a minimum investment and be successful. The initial hookset is mind blowing.  Lots of the fish jump three feet out of the water. I’ve trolled Ontario for 35 years plus but like few things better than catching kings jigging.
Thanks to Manny and Isaac for sharing what they found and learned. If you haven’t tried it you should.
Im attaching a link for Mission

Lures. I also like the 2 ounce.

Thank you for the feedback whaler1. Just ordered the Laker Effect Glow and Star Shrek Glow. I'll give them a try next time out. Not sure I have the proper jig stick but I guess I can use one of my trolling rods to test the waters.

I do. Small frame line counter reel spooled with 20lb braid and a fluorocarbon leader of 15 lbs.

That sounds like a lot of fun. I happen to have some reels spooled with that. Looking forward to trying it out!

A little lost in all of this is electronics. You do need a good graph. Marking your jig with high ping speed to see how fish are moving on it and reacting is key.
