Fairhaven Report 6-24

Launched at 8AM, Out at 6PM.

Headed out and set up in 100' w/ 4 downrigger rods and 2 Dipsey Divers back 250 trolling a mix of spoons, flies, flashers and Spin Dr's. Mix of sun and clouds, steady 10 knot winds from the W and 1' waves. I was fishing with a rookie. While I set up, rookie steered. It didn't go well. Got us all tangled up. 3 times. I abandoned the Dipsey program and ran a tight 4 rod rigger program. Best screens were btwn 130 - 160 range. Lots of bait and pods of fish. But they weren't biting. Rookie managed a 7 lbs Brown and I a 13" Salmon in there before trolling deeper across blank screens to 200ish. Picked up to 300 and set up to more blank screens. Back into where we caught fish and screens were loaded. Temps 52 @100/150.
