Oswego fleas

Fished 12lb  test line today . Slow bite untill nice steelhead cleared water on line

 

 . Missed at 10 ft from boat because I did not notice the eyes on pole were blocked with fleas .ISurface temp up to 67 . Back to heavy line .

Fleas were terrible this afternoon in 500-600 fow. I lost a small king 30 ft from the boat because I had 3ft of fleas blocking the eye on the tip of my rod using 30lb big game

Is the spiny flea mostly a problem on the east side?

I have yet to see a single flea when going out of Sandy

I dealt with some yesterday out of IBay- not nearly as bad though (fishing was slow also)
