We fished from around eleven until four thirty with the east north east wind making its presence felt. Over fifty feet the temperature was 44 degrees at 45 feet with a surface temp of about sixty. As we went farther out the cold water remained until we were over 200 feet and there the temperature gradually started going up until 52. All of this with the probe parked at 45 feet down. We got one 16 pound salmon  at 45 feet over 160 which made my brother in law very happy and exhausted. With the water being so cold almost to the surface they fight a lot harder and longer. Hopefully this eastern wind will go away again so the fishing will get better.
