To digress we went out last Friday from 200 - 550' with my son along, we had several hits, landed a half dozen. & fleas were present.

This morning we set up in 500' at 8:30 & trolled North & North East then headed back into 300" quiting at 2:30 - we saw maybe a dozen marks in total, two hits & 1 nice steelhead we put back. The water was clearer than I've ever seen & the fleas were awful. Has the emergence of fleas cleaned up the plankton so the bait has moved and the fish have followed? We only saw a couple boats all day

The Quagga Mussels get the "credit/blame" for filtering the water to its current clarity. Check out the "spiny Flea" thread in the lake discussion section.
