still having problems with this efi. for some reason i am starting to think it is a coil..Would anyone agree? everything else is in check, but i would think the system computer would notice a coil related issue on a misfire??

I have a 1985 Sea Ray 230 SRV with a Mercruiser 350 with 260 hp, been having issues from low rpm at WOT, wouldn't plane out, to stalling at idle, after some discussions with woody 184 and another mechanic I ran into with my wife, I replaced coil yesterday and tweaked idle adjustment screw. Seems so much better now, hit 3200 rpm on plane. Still maybe needs to have carb rebuilt perhaps but I am going to wait and see. I also checked all connections and wires and had a loose nut on the starter lead to battery and small nut near that nut was loose too, relay or solenoid screw? Anyway I am keeping my fingers crossed and I patted myself on the back for fixing it myself. I got the coil for $65.00, pretty fair considering what it needs to do. Good luck.
