new cannon Mag 10 , set screw question

trying to help friend respool his new cannon Mag 10 with coated cable.

Just need to know if i have to do anything with the set screw ?

Just make sure the coating is stripped off for a few wraps so the POsitive ion and short stop still works and is touching the set screw or the short stop will not work
