SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS GOT AN EARLY START AND SET UP IN 120 FEET OF WATER AND WITHIN A MINUTE BOATED A STEEL HEAD 70 DOWN ON THE RIGGER. WE RAN LEADCORE COPPER DIPSEYS AND RIGGERS. THE RIGGERS DID MOST OF THE DAMAGE. ALTHOUGH WE LOST A BIG ONE THAT WE THOUGT MIGHT BE A STEELHEAD ON THE LEADCORE. WE DID MANAGE TO GET A STEELY AT 10# 7 OUNCE THAT IS CURRENTLY NINTH ON THE LEADERBOARD. MOST OF THE ACTION WAS IN 150 FEET. GOING OUT TOMORROW TO TRY AND GET SOMETHING A LITTLE BIGGER FOR THE BOARDNO ACTION ON THE DIPSEYS SO WE PULLED THOSE.THE HOT SPOONS WERE DW GLOW FROGS. THE STEELY WAS ON A YELLOW NK28. GOOD LUCK OUT THERE. WAYNE

Yeah....steelhead action around here is the best i have seen in 10years. Amazingly enough I took a decent 7lb steelhead yesterday on a dispy green SD, glow hammer fly...set back 300 foot on a #2 setting. Was not expecting steelhead that far down, when over the last two weeks, they have all been slider bites and leadcore in that top ~40foot or so of the water column.

But Definately Great job Wayne on the steelies.......best eating fish....and most fun when they are dancing!

Nice job on the derby fish! Was out there Sunday as well and enjoyed that bite. Many steelhead and a few 2 year old kings as well! Managed 2 big salmon on the 350 wire in 180 and lost 1 more. Hung a deep deep rigger for those fish but only managed a few fat lakers(up to 14lbs) It was a good day of fishing.
