about how many miles out or even better how many degrees north is 400 FOW out of sodus??

If I remember correctly, Due North out of the chute Approx. 17 miles there is a bouy for shipping lane. That was 400" or so.

Definitely not 17 miles out.

Outlet of the Bay is roughly 43 deg. 16N and 400 fow is about 24 north.

Thus it's approximately 8 miles north of the Bay.

8mi is closer seems we were over 300 ft and around 5.6 miles out.

There's a pretty good drop off at 270-330' out around 5-6 miles then it continues to get slowly deeper so 7-8 miles out should be close to 400'. 42* temp was down about 120' over 300 foot of water last Saturday.
