furuno 587 settings

hi folks, just installed a 587 with a ss264 200kz wide beam transducer on the boat, can you share your settings for this unit which have been working for you? thanks lee

I'll be interested in responses too. I just installed my 587 this weekend. I used the flush mount 525-PL 12 from airmar. So far the default settings seem ok.

Wow Paul, that's quite an upgrade over the old dinosaur you were using.  what are you going to do with yourself now that you'll actually be able to see fish on your graph :-P :rofl:

Fortunately, Tim, my old unit functions fine with the new one and I'm keeping it for navigation and waypoints. If I don't like all the fish I'm seeing but not catching I can always "run home to momma" and fish blind again.
