We had the pleasure of assisting Captain Mark B. from Reel Crazy on a shakedown cruise last night. The water was dead calm and extremely clear. We managed two browns off the boards East of Forest Lawn. The biggest was @ 8 lbs. One on a rebel minnow bait and the other on a green/silver 44 size spoon. The hospitality was much appreciated Mark !

This morning on Mike's Tundra we managed one more brown off the boards on a natural rapala J-11 near Webster Park. Fairly slow all the way to nine mile point and back to Hedges. Then the supposed south winds went west and pounded us. Early day back at the dock at about 10:30.

On Friday the Sea Lion did very well working a nice mudline east of Hedges. They boated a mixed bag of a dozen and dropped few more all on minnow baits. The clear water in close is dictating an early/late bite for sure. We swung out to 20-25 and worked some diving minnow baits and the riggers, but we got blown off before we could give the program a decent chance. As I look at the lake now we may have another mudline in the AM, as it is really ripping from the NNW. T-storms are on the horizon !
