Yankee It great to see you and Billy getting along just as allways It will help pass the winter time
  3. 1. I would like to upgrade to a color GPS this year. Billy I want to talk to you about your choice of GPS. I was also looking at that one.I will PM you sometime this week. 2. Put 2 more riggers on the boat which means I need longer tracks running down the sides of the boat. 3.A couple more line counters would be nice also. 4.This is a long time away but an Auto pilot this is a big $$ item but some day I will have one. Other than that I'm good to go.
  4. I am by far no expert on this. But one of the main reasons I use wire when fishing deep over mono is the stretch of the line. With wire you have no stretch at all and the mono does.Plus what Richard has said there is a vibration that the wire puts out that attracts salmon to the dipsey.I love the feeling of every head shake with the wire but you really don't get that with mono. There is nothing like a monster run on a wire rig
  5. Billy you won't belive the picture you are going to get.with your boat a thru hull would be great.Jim is having a sale right now here is his site. http://byownerelectronics.com/store/home.php Have you got you skis all tuned up yet .Good luck with your new finder when you get it it has a demo mode so you can see what it looks like it will help you pass the winter
  6. Mark Good job on all your hard work to get it changed .
  7. Steelfire Sounds like a great trip. That must of been quite a time with 3 kings on at the same time
  8. Eric great picture he looks like he want that fish BAD!!!! Looks like he got the look of a die hard fishermen down pat.Eric how was you fall fishing like?
  9. Billy all I can say is what a season you had as a captain My hat goes off to you .I hope to see you next year. This year was a blow for me,to many things on my plate. But next year is a different story
  10. I agree with mark 100% he has every right as anyone else to have the name of his rig on the board. He pays the same fee as the charter captains and should have the same honor of having the name on the board.Mark great letter and reply.Great job on your 5th place finish also.

    Hi ALL

Welcome to the site great bunch of guys here and super info also
  12. Mike I also read that some people use a green dolphin stinger with a orange ladder back on them. And that looks like the spoon we bought.I used one we bought this spring and almost all of the paint is off of it I didn't get a chance to get in another trip this year( ) but I can't wait until next spring when I come back to the BAR and use them again.
  13. Mike sounds like you had a good day even with the quick loss of those fish.Have you had any luck with the coyotes spoons you picked up this spring?
  14. I am far from an expert on temp fishing but after I read keating on kings I set up in 40 deg water and work up from there.I always have one in the cold water and then if we start hitting them in the cold water we will move another rig down but I always have one in that temp.I'm still in the learning phase but it seems to work for me.
  15. Thanks Eric I got it.Sounds like a plan.Good luck if you make it out.
  16. I have used them on my Cannon SNT probe cable with no problems just keep an eye out for nicks But I think you will be fine.
  17. The best way I found is to bring them close to the boat and I use a fish holder (the S shaped holder you use to hold up a fish)and try to take the hook out with out taking them out of the water. That's works for me.I find that the more there out of the water they don't make it if you try to put them back in.It's tricky but it's fun trying to get them on the side of the boat with out losing gear In less it's a really big fish I try to let them go with out taking pictures. But that's just me.But if it looks like it won't make it,in the live well it goes and then some of my family get to enjoy fresh salmon.I love catching them but hate eating them I just love the sound of a screaming reel
  18. No Jax I have the new Furuno 620.I was just wondering I have a Lund and was looking at that unit before I bought the 620.I think you said you also have a Lund :?: :?: I can't remember :?
  19. Eric love the pictures glad to see Jr holding that fish If you talk to dave from R&R tell him I haven't forgot him I have just been very busy with my little one I haven't had time for any thing else.I want to get some of every thing we used at the bar this year.He makes a great spoon.Good luck if you go out.
