  1. Welcome aboard great lookin Browns.
  2. Some great deals on new units on e-bay. I picked up my Pro-II there a few years back for around 130 (new) at the time they were running around 200 in the stores. Only draw back with e-bay is the company wont honor the new warranty if there is a problem, unless its bought from a retailer.
  3. Food Saver all the way here aswell.
  4. Have a good one Bill
  5. And as Tim said before. If it's r&c steering the rack is shot or if rotary it's the helm. Very doubtful if it's the cable.
  6. No need to post it again on open lake cwmwnw
  7. Good talking to ya Mike. Good luck with the boat, hunting & the atv business down there. Hank
  8. Mike ck your pm's & give a call.
  9. It sounds like the prop that's on it now is either cavitating for some reason or the hub is partly spun out. 120hp m/c 17' glass should be some where in the range between 15 & 17p prop as a rule if it's the original ratio drive. It should pull thru the rpm range and top out at about 4300 rpm at wot, cruise between 32 & 3400.
  10. length of boat for aprx. weight & total wide open throttle rpm's?
  11. How's the fishing your way?
  12. What Dave said is correct. The prop for an "aq model drive" does have a pressed hub in the propeller.
  13. Winterizing, Shrink Wrapping, storage indoor & out (limited indoor) and off season repair work (outdrives, o/b lower units, I/b velvet drive service & rebuilding etc on all makes). On site & limited off site winterizing & wrapping. PM me for details & phn.#
  14. I'd ck the prop 1st for a spun hub. If you have a spare try that one on it before you go any farther. Also ck that the shift cable is fully engaging at the drive. That done if you still have the problem it is probably in the upper section of the drive. Volvo uses a cone type shifting mechanism in the upper unit unlike m/c or omc, for forward & reverse. If that be the problem take it to a competent marine shop as they do require special tools to replace & achieve the correct tolerances. Not a job for the home mechanic unfortunately.
  15. Any pictures?
  16. Na Waste oil heater in the cold months, but ya got me pegged on the A/C. You can have the HVAC job. I'll stick with fixin what ya break.
