If your sure the alignment is ok as well as the exhaust flaps. I would pull the starter and check to make sure it isn't hanging up and the drive isn't touching the flywheel after it starts. Also check that the lower flywheel cover is tight and not bent so that is touching the flywheel. ( the sheet metal cover that bolts to the bell housing underneath )

Let's not get to technical here. If I had to guess with out seeing it I would say a fuel issue after setting all winter. IE: condensation in the tank= check water separator if installed & run it low on fuel before you put fresh fuel in it. Reverse could very possibly be a sticky lower shift cable, put some time on it and see if it still does it. If not it will have to be addressed. If I can help you out feel free to contact me.

It;s to early to tell yet how they will preform & hold up in the long run as they are a new unit this year. Get some time on it over the next few month's in more than 1 ta 2's and let us kn what you think. It would be a plus if they finally came up with a dependable cable unit.

Tim: It is ok as long as you stay to the west side. Yes there is going to be some gravel near the wall as there alwas is all summer where you can't pull it up that tight with the dredge. With all the high winds the last few day's it's not surprising that it might appear to be filled in some. It's been to rough on the lake for anyone to think about going out anyway & when it's not blowing 3 ta 5's or 8 ta 10's it will be addressed if there is a problem. On a side note: Yes it is contracted out and being maintained as per the above post & the helpful warning that was issued by the association. Do you belong to the association & get the news letters?
