Cd box or coil or trigger or stator . Would be my guess's without putting a meter on it. If per say ignition is the problem? Start throwing around the $ for those parts by trying to self diagnose it yourself and you'll waste alot more than having it tested. Even if your going to do the work yourself.
Great video Andy. Not sure what's better. Elliot's great work handling the rod or your ballet act on the transom & cooler. Great job by both & your better half did a great job putting it together.
You should be ok thru the holiday with it but it will have to be addressed as soon as possible. ( DO Not use any sealer in the system!! ) Everything Hans said above is right on the money. Depending on the room in front of the engine to get at it.
John: I have no experience with the new Sport Pilot so I can't comment on it although your right about the older model's. Over the years I've installed many of the older models & they did have there share of problems but Raymarine did have a fairly decent & knowledgeable support team. On the same note. I've installed my share of Simrad's as well with very few problem's except for one unit that you have probably read about on here. They are a very good unit but if you do have any issues at least for the time being DON'T expect any kind of knowledgeable or for that matter customer courtesy from them. I hope they get there act together after the buy out and merger by Navico before they give a good product a bad reputation because of it.
