  1. Fairly hard to tell for sure from these pics but those fish look like the Atlantics that are being caught like crazy off of Sodus. There part of a Canada stocking program. Please put those back gently. Could you imagine our lake full of those
  2. Tom, They have been getting them all along the shore. Look for pockets of warmer water they should be holding fish. Long lining sticks seems to produce the best. Check from shore line out to 20fow
  3. You can.... not necessary...... When I do...... I then just use a small clip at the the end......you have a swivel...upstream
  4. Ive been using double uni-knot....easy to tie: I haven't had one let go yet http://www.netknots.com/html/double_uni_knot.html
  5. Thanks, that means they haven't spawned yet....still time to get'em b/4 they head back to the lake
  6. WTG Scott..... were these perch spawned-out yet?.....males?
  7. What's the latest word on the boom? Any date set yet?
  8. UPDATE..... The online registration is now on the site........Candy Team..... is in for the Wilson event
  9. Had a another good day Thurs 4/2....With some good friends from DSO. Thanks to our fiends from PETA, many of these browns are badly scarred. I'm sure this weather will make fishing tougher for a few days.... Black/silver, perch, olive colored sticks worked the best
  10. As is mentioned go as far forward as possible...... rather the getting out the boat hook, you can hook on a retrieval line, just carabiner type hook and rope
  11. Well, the browns I caught apparently didn't read the book on gobies.....they were hitting goby lures 8 to 10 ft off the bottom ...Sorry couldn't help it...... Seriously, in clear water try the goby patterns......we did very well
  12. We'll be there, tell Mike I said Hi !!!! Dale, It was a great day.......Are you still off during the week... Let's go !!!!!
  13. Yup, White with a red stripe, 23ft....... One kind, ordered with that color combo. great boat
  14. Yup.... I was long lining behind boards(100 ft or so) with floaters and still whack'em in 16-18 fow' Keep it simple.... find the color of the day.... and go for it
  15. Do a google search for goby lures...just about every maker is coming out with one. Use your dull colored olive-greens or browns will work
  16. Had great day, Roy and myself, kept pretty busy .........some of the catch Roy with good one.....
  17. Lost the fish but this was on the hook........MUST have been a BIG brown 3/25/09
  18. WTG, nice first trip out..... I should be out next week.....hope I have as much luck
  19. gleicha, I just attended a perch seminar at Gander Mtn...... Their suggestion is to fish Canandaigua or Keuka if you want to have a better chance of catching perch. Seneca has some great perch but it can be very frustrating trying to catch them.... They can be difficult or you can slam them.... but I know more people that have gone away without a bite..... Minnows work also jigs with assorted plastics Good luck
  20. For some reason that link is dead..... The new link is: http://www.thekingofthelake.com/ I sent a note to those guys asking about on-line registration..... it's not on their site now. If it's available I'll let you guys know
  21. Dale, Unless you can walk on water........... I'd say it's canceled
  22. If I were so inclined to have one of those mounted because they are perrtty...... what size do you guy's think is getting into mounting size?
  23. I haven't used the Bert's soo I really don't no how they are.... I like the racheting part but looks like a little work to adjust to different positions. On "The Candy" we're using the Cisco's and the ANY position adjustment is quick and easy. When you lock it in....it stays locked.... http://www.ciscofishingsystemsltd.com/601.html
  24. Great job...Tim..... Hope your fish hold up
