Yesterday it was 140' of cable out with 15 lb shark, put it at 118-122' down with blow back and currents. Today it was even deeper, and with this wind it will go even deeper still!! Bouncing bottom 5-10' before the actual reading is bottom depth. Very frustrating, I have gotten used to it, but I should not have to worry about it. But missing numbers is a huge thing also. Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

Let me know if your new counters have all the numbers on them!! Scotty has had an ongoing issue with these counters with missing depth numbers and also being off on the actual depth for the last 4-5 years. My original counters were good, but had condensation getting inside, so I got new ones and they are junk!!! Replaced them 2 times now and still the same problem with missing numbers and being off on depth. Please keep us posted on this new lot!! Thanks. Best way to do it, since you have 2 reels. Put it in backwards and then count passes when out on the right way. I have put 450 and 500 coppers on segate 60's with 40lb suffix braid. 400 copper was With 50 lb suffix braid. Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
