  1. Any idea what it was caught on? I have some customers out there!
  2. Yup. I will post them from facebook. Clean fish!
  3. Wait, you are taking pics of lakers now? I'm feeling faint! If you need some laker gear, I know a guy! Good job Bill! Glad to see you guys are out!
  4. The line guide is plastic on the new Tekotas. It will not hold up to wire or braid over time. It will make a grove and cut into the line guide.
  5. Glad my boat will fit under the bridge at 249'
  6. If the water gets much higher, Sandy Creek boat launch will be closed. The water is right to the bottom of the docks already. They prepared for it in some area but not all….. Here is a pic of the outflows cutback more.
  7. No. I dumped a lot of money into upgrades on the boat this year and don’t have the cash to put into my trailer to get it distance travel ready. That will be taken care of this fall for next spring.
  8. Anyone else paying attention to what’s going on with the St Lawrence outflows? Get ready for high water! The Ottawa is raging so they have drastically cutback the outflow. Last year at this time it was over 8,000.
  9. Lakers and the brown coughed up 3-4” alewife and 3” gobies. I have taken browns on bottom in as deep as 135 on the bottom at this time of year.
  10. After a spring full of upgrades to the boat, I finally had a chance to hit the water. We left the dock at 11am and headed east of port. We made one pass in the skinny water with nothing to show for it. Turned north and hit our first fish in 41’ on a #2 chinook diver out 25’. After a nice brown hit the floor, we continued north. We poked out to 95’ taking another brown down 88’ in 91’ FOW. We went back into 65’ where we had a decent screen. We picked away at lakers all afternoon. Gambler Rigs in Alien and the new Kryptonite UV did all the damage.
  11. 8-8” spin doctors in good condition. Some have never seen water! $60.00 plus $10.00 shipping to the lower 48 or pick up in Hilton NY.
  12. The best technology in its time! My father had one and I could sit and watch it for hours!
  13. I used to run four riggers and went down to 3. I found some days too many riggers slowed the bite. I run one at 50 degrees, one in 42 degree water and one 5-10' above the 50' rigger (or higher if there are good marks).
  14. I don't think they do treatments until later in the season.
  15. I just talked with Dan and they are in the process of bringing the pirate stickbaits back into production.
  16. Dan Kelly from Erie PA brought Pirate back this winter. I'm not sure if he is doing stick baits or not. He is on this site. Look back in the classifieds. He posted about the spoons a while ago. Message him and he will have an answer for you. I will also text him and see if he is doing the stick baits.
  17. Shallow water, flashers and dodgers don't work that well at all. They will work when browns are deeper but not as good as other species.
  18. Lakers will suspend when the water is cold and low light hours. There will be lakers still staying on the bottom chasing gobies and sculpins but they will suspend looking for alewife,
