I've got my ticket, but forgot to have the Dr. and boys get one. Oh well, live and learn. Not sure about the remainder of the weekend, we'll see.

Took my Dad, a Doctor and his two boys that works with my Mom out of Olcott today. Fished from the Red Barn to the Microwave Tower in 100 - 200 FOW in the rough and rain this morning. Took a few small kings on green protrolls/green attomiks and a big guy at 24.8 on a chrome spin doctor with a TG fly. Lots of warm water in there, but the marks were biting.

I'm game for launching at Olcott in a few weeks from now.

Me and my friends have fished the opening day of bass for probably the past ten years, and each year gets slower. You really had to work for the couple fish we got :roll: As for salmon, i will be fishing the weekend of the 4th for sure, not sure about it any sooner. I'm definatly up for a Penn Yan vs. Bayliner event Maybe we could even get a Thompson to compete

Fished opening day of Bass season for a change of pace. Caught a ton of gobys on leaches. The only smallies with any size taken were caught flatlining hot-n-tots in 10 - 14 fow outside the fort. Tons of moss everywhere. Nice for change of pace, plus my buddy snapped this pic of my ride......ok, back to salmon next weekend

Nice to finally meet you SWII. I thought I was the only one out there Monday morning. We fished for a few hours before being chased off by a thunderstorm with lots of lightning. That was freaky running back in from the red can with all the lightning and rain. :shock:

Fished N of the red can today, went somthing like 15 for 19 with the biggest being 18lbs. Lots of action all day long. All baits took hits from watermelons to mulattos to spin doctors. Riggers, wire, core. Lots of good green water all the way out to 250 FOW. All fish were very healthy looking.

Depends on what you are waxing. On my aluminum river boat, I use plain old car wax. On my fiberglass Penn Yan, I use 3M premium marine wax which produces a much better, longer lasting shine. I guess when it comes to waxing fiberglass, the phrase "you get what you pay for" really applies. The 3M products are really impressive as far as end results and what they claim they can do. On the other hand, I would think that car wax would not hurt any boat, it just might not produce the best results.

Yes, I was out there, launched my boat out of Fort Niagara. Next time I'm in Wilson, if I see the boat, I'll stop by. Maybe see your crew at the Pro Am, I would assume you will be fishing it out of Wilson? I'll be on another boat out of Olcott for the ProAm.

I saw you on Saturday a few times. On Sunday, I only saw the same 2 or 3 boats all day, much less traffic. If I see you again, I'll give ya a shout.

Fished the Niagara Bar both Sat & Sun. Sat had a TON of boats on the Bar, nice weather, very mixed up fishing. Took fish on all different colors of spoons and flashers/flies, no pattern at all. Sunday was a little slower, little bit worse weather. Fish came on mixed veggie stinger, closet thing to a hawg wild i had, and chrome spin doctors/TG flies. Great weekend to be on the lake and burning dead dinosaur

Fished the Niagara Bar today in the rough for the first time this season. Hit a mix of Lakers, Steelies and Kings on Mag Spoons and Spin Doctors / Flies. Water temps ranged from 44 - 46 degrees from 15 - 40 feet down. Got the GF's cousin into his very first King, he was impressed with how hard they fight compared to bass Great to be back at it

Heard on the radio this morning that they are going to start pulling it today.

Anyone have a canoe they want to sell?? Looking for an aluminum one, but fiberglass would be ok. Thanks.

There was a bunch of busted up ice chunks in the Upper Niagara River this morning. Probably came over the ice boom from Erie. It shouldn't be long now

Fished the Niagara River this morning, tons of boats out. Water was 32 degrees, with no ice. Took a few steelies on kwikfish as the winds and current were working properly to drift them. Charters were hitting fish mostly on eggs from what I could see.
