Yes their are contour lines, but they are very spread out after about 100' or so. I havn't been on the boat since labor day, so I'm going on memory here. Personaly, I think 200.00 is over priced.

We have the navionics gold and like it a lot. It is very usefull for the bar area. Our covers the whole lake and we've had it for a couple years now. It was a $200.00 chip.

At least the entertainment of one of our nearby fishermen kept us laughing!

Rob(Legacy) and I ended up w/ 90 perch and probobly caught at least 3 times that many. We were using tip-downs w/ fatheads. Ice is going to be iffy from now till the next cold spell. Oh yea, forgot about the token bullhead I caught. :shock:

I've read 1 book and thought the same thing. It's almost like he doesn't want to share too many of his personal secrets. Very basic. Any one of us could have wrote that kind of info. Maybe his other book is better? I don't know.

I think I'll be shore fishing wednesday.

15 tip downs and a bunch of dinks. We kept about 20-25. Caught some perch and blue gills jigging also. No dog fish today. Sorry Rob.

Very slow. 15 tip-downs out and about a dozen perch. ice is 4-5" under the slush. I think sunday's weather is going to kill it hard. Too bad I have a ton of time off work. May hit cranberry in the a.m.

Going out in the a.m. and wondering if their is any news on the perch fishing. I'll report after the trip tomorrow. Why aren't they plowing the loop anymore?

Thanks Brian. Hopefully w/ all the snow coming I can get out by next weekend. Their's nothing like 2' of snow covering all the thin spots. :shock:

I'll wait till next week. I did see one guy on the north end this afternoon about 3:00pm. The only open water I saw was at the channel and coming into the s.w. part of the bay. everything else looked good. A couple nights of some cold stuff and it should be solid again. Disclaimer: This is only my opinion. I am not responsible for anyone falling through and getting their ankles wet.

Sounds like great news rick! I'm too busy this weekend but I should be out starting next week. I'm going to have some time off work the last 2 weeks of the month. Are you still good for bowling monday night?

They were fishing braddocks today!

Braddocks is locked up w/ about 11\2-2" of ice. I would bet that it will be fished this weekend.

Rick, it is my biggest buck. It looks like a relative of the buck my dad took about 5 years ago. His had a lot more mass w/ 11" g2's and probobly scored 145-155 area. I was going to call you soon to see if you wanted to bowl on Dec. 17. Sam has surgery on his hand Dec. 13. He is out for 6 weeks after that. We don't bowl the 24th and the 31st. Took this bad boy at 9:45 sat. 19" inside spread and 8-9" g2's. It was missing a brow tine or it would be a perfect 8 pt.

This proves that we don't just fish for the money, huh? I spent about 600.00 during the 3 loc derbies this year. Mike, you not having a boat for the near future does suck. Don't be shy to PM me next season if ya need a ride. We usually have the room. We just throw my pops gas $ after the trip. The boat is docked at Sandy.

WW IV, Same here. the rest of the bay is perchless. Last weekend by myself I got 30 and this past sat. am w/ one other guy we got 73. All were in 5 fow east of the markers. Slip bobbers w/ fathead and orange jighead.

Winning 20 grand would be nice, but lets get a little realistic for a minute. The chance of winning it is extremely low. The motivation for me to get up at 4am and travel from Webster to Hamlin is definately not for the 50 bucks I would split w/ the guys on our boat just for making the board. I think most of us on this website would admit that being in the top 20 for a particular division AND seeing your boat name listed on the leaderboard is very satisfying after the challenge of going up against the whole southern shore of this lake. We all love money, but being able to show off a little is nice too. Hopefully they(LOC) will put all names on or none at all. BTW: Take the rec boats out of the equation and you might not even have a derby. Just my .2 cents
