Nice job George.. It was a great day to be fishing... Dale

Steve nice looking deer and great story.. Man you have as much gray hair now as Jack D...... Dale

Kevin Thanks for the invite the other day I had an absolute ball fishing canandaigua with you and your dad.. I lost my share of those fish also I think they were coming down on the lures so we were hooking them in the bottom jaw... That is why our ratio was not good... I finished all my deer I may hit the water again tomorrow or friday for some more bows and lakers..... Let me know if you want to get out again....... Dale

I had this buck come by the stand saturday evening 30 minutes before sunset and gave me a nice broadside shot at 25 yards. My shot placement was a touch high and I spined him, so I did not have to worry about a blood trail, he dropped right in his tracks. I also had the luck to take a nice red fox with my bow. I was amazed at the damage a 100 grain thunderhead can do to the cranium of a fox. She went 20 yards and crashed in some thick stuff.. I would have posted sooner but we have been swamped with deer for processing and I have been hitting the hay as soon as I get cleaned up.... Dale

Coup that is a nice buck way to go.... I guess the pressure is off now for venison.... Let me know if you want to hit Canandaigua Lake for some lakers and rainbows..... Dale

After watching that for the last 20 minutes I need to get the boat gassed up forget deer season... That was a great show for Lake Ontario Fisheries...... Dale

Kevin I think sunday morning may have some potential. we had a ball trolling that lake.. I need to hit up B&E Fishing tackle for some killer laker lures.... Dave I know what you mean there is a lot more meat in a deer than a limit of lakers... I talked with Roger the other day and he said they are having a send off party at the firehouse sunday........ Fished the north end friday morning from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm with a couple friends. We caught 7 lakers from 2 lbs to 5 lbs best depth for us was 100 fow down 65-75... Nice bait pods with active fish working them... Best lure was 42nd spoon which did 6 lakers and a green echip with a green fly did one laker... It was a foggy and rainy day for us but we had a great time.... Dale

Salmonite I just prefer people stop by anytime until 10:00 or 11:00 pm at night... We always have somebody around to check in deer during bow and gun season.. I also have some people that call before they stop out and that is also exceptable.... (315)524-6265...Thanks.. Dale

Thanks for the pat on the back Jeff.. I hope to see you this season a few times..... Dale

I also had a Lowrance ff with issues and their Customer Support was sub par to say the least.. I have had great success with Garmin for Customer Support with my ff.. I would highly recommend them to my worst enemy... P.S. The moderators in this forum have always been very professional in my honest opinion and would do nothing to help themselves.... Hank helped me with the diagnosis on my I/O and gave me the information to replace the camshaft myself..... Hank did not make a dime on that, but he was there for a fellow sportsman in my time of need. I wish there were more people like Bob and Hank that would rather give not take...I think we could all learn from their actions.. I would recommend thinking before posting about these fine moderators.... I think Governor Patterson has a website if you are bored and would like to complain about something.. At least maybe everybody could benefit from your anger..... These comments are not supported by the website or their moderators just me..... Thanks... Woody

Kevin that is one heckuva Brown..... Good job.... I think Dave will be following you around Seneca for good now !!!!!

Billy I processed quite a few deer last year (135) and we used a foodsaver vacuum packing machine. I would highly recommend spending a couple hundred and getting the higher end model for the commercial design and extra features...... Dale

It is that time of the year again.... The price is staying the same due to our current recession and our lovely governor raising our hunting and fishing licenses. I will post my business card in a couple of days.... Thanks.. Dale

Kevin that was a smart move fishing Seneca over the big O... I have been out a couple times in the last week and have not done very good at all.... Skunk city yesterday out of Hughes Marina.... I am glad to see a nice report for you guys... One of these days I am going to hook up with you and run my boat down to Seneca for a day trip....... I also want to give jigging a shot on seneca for lakers..... Dale

Gentlemen first off I want to thank you for your assistance with this motor issue.. I spoke with Hank before I went out of town and he said the samething. Camshaft has a worn lobe... I disassembled the motor to find the camshaft had a worn lobe on the #4 cylinder so I got a new camshaft and lifters and new gears for the camshaft and crankshaft.. It took about 8 hrs to teardown and reassemble the motor but it is currently running beautiful and has good power... I have not run the motor that long yet maybe an hour or hour and a half... But the sounds are gone.... Hank I want to thank you for the phone conversation about the motor if it was not for you I would not be able to get out in fish this week.... A huge Thank You to you sir....... Thank you to everyone else that posted on this subject..... Dale

Jeff nice report. The funny thing about the wires other than the one brown we took right away yesterday on the wire they were silent the rest of the day.. Finders Keepers and I actually waged a bet of who could get there wire to fire first with absolutely zero success. We threw everything at them but the riggers were hot.... Dale -
Mud Chicken Report ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): Time on Water:9:30 am to 3:00 pm Weather/Temp:Hot Wind Speed/Direction:nw 4-5 Waves: 1 or less Surface Temp: Location: LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== We got a late start today because Finders Keepers and I were going to fish the Fair Haven Challenge but he had trolling motor problems (would not start) so we went from Port Bay back to my house to grab my boat and went out of Hughes this mid morning.. We motored out to 110 fow and started a nw troll just as I got the port wire set-up in the water out 150 on a 2 setting the rod tip starts bouncing and I reel in a 6 lb brownie. That came on a white echip and little boy blue fly.. Got the rest of the spread out and the starboard rigger fires down 65 with a black and green glow Mag Tim (Finders Keepers) fought that Steelie and lost it just before it got to the boat... That rigger was mupped and we took several hits on that for our short time out there. Next fish cam on a green on green echip fly down 78 over 220 fow about a 4 lb steelie.. Just before the end of our trip we had the starboard rigger fire again and then the leadcore went with a nk mag raspberry knot in the water over 270'... That was it all steelies and 1 brown no kings..... Maybe next week..... Good luck to all in the LOC..... Dale =============== Total Hits: 8 Total Boated:3 Species Breakdown:steel and a brown Hot Lure: black glow green nk mag Trolling Speed: 2.9 Down Speed: someday Boat Depth: 110-320 Lure Depth: 60-80
