From what I have heard the DEC being a state agency is already supporting this project. I think there hands are tied. Should be interesting State of the Lake Meetings this spring as I know I will be bringing up the topic on our end. Brian -
Stick with one wheel. L&M's suggestion with the cable thru the transom(it goes thru a boot) is the standard hookup. I would steer the kicker as it will give you more control. Good Luck with her!! Brian

This is a very sad Day for the Great Lakes as we all know it. It will NEVER be the same again. All of those legislators should be embarrased that they allowed this to happen on there watch just to fill the county bank accounts. Very sad day indeed.............. Brian

It was approved by the Town of Hounsfield but being reviewed again by the County. We can only hope this gets stalled long enough to Die....

What is SAD is that the town of Hounsfield is a summer house community, so of course they are doing this in January! How typical! My girlfriend luckly just sold her waterfront home there this summer. Back door, Dark of night politics as usual, just makes me sick!

Heard thru the grapevine that the Jefferson county galloo island project was given the thumbs up by the jefferson county board. Has anyone else heard the same? This is not good news....

Momay4000, Sorry if my post was mis construde, I know they have EPIRB capability but I thought we were discussing the DSC function on a Marine side band radio. From what I have read the Coast Guard does not yet have the DSC capapabilty on the Great Lakes. I guess my recommendation would be to own an EPIRB as that technology is already in place. I will look into the DSC capability and try and report back any findings.

SCARY?? Have you seen him dock that boat of his?? LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We need to get Tyler up to speed on driving that boat! I think I read somewhere that the coasties on the great lakes do not have the DSC technology yet. And it may be sometime before they get it.

Now that Unkel is going to join you guys there wont be a beer available in Oswego but the fish will be a lot safer! LMAO!!!!!!! Pretty sure but dont quote me on it that DSC is not running in the Great Lakes. Anybody find any info on that?
