I have 2 Borg Warner transmissions sitting in my garage, that wont ever fit on my new ride. One is counter rotating and the other is standard rotation. They are 1.87/1 gear ratios and will bolt up nicely to Ford 302's and 350's from what I am told. I had them on a pair of 302's. These trannys worked just fine when they were in the boat. I had some engine work done and had found newer trannys so I bolted them on. Borg Warner trannys are the standards the other manufacturers live by! Far and away one of the best transmissions you could own. I just want them gone so the first 400.00 or B.O. takes them. Pickup only or I could meet someone as I am back and forth from Sodus to Olcott for the next 2 months or so. These are worth well over 1000.00 a piece rebuilt.

I have run from Mexico Pt to Olcott (126 miles)for the last 5 years and there will be trash just a matter of where it starts usually around the Oak it begins to get heavy. I have only had to come off plane once due to it being so heavy. I think with your run north it may not be that bad but definetly keep a very sharp eye out for Trees and debris!!!! I think Pete's way of doing the loops is probably your best bet. I myself don't add line but this sounds like the best way. I dont think I would add any kind of swivel as that would change the weight and certainly the action which the leader is imparting on the fly.

PJ, I wouldnt limit yourself to one or the other, there are certain colors of each that work great. Its just like everything else in fishing pick what works for you on your boat. Brian

I did have a simrad on my sea ray and when i would run my motor without the power assist my autopilot worked to hard but you say its easy enough to turn the wheel maybe you wont have any trouble.

Frank, Most guys I know running the power assist versions of the Simrads on straight inboards are having no trouble. Sorry I cant be of more help. Brian

I am with Jcridge Store your planer boards in there! Keep a cooler for the fish. It will help keep water out of your bilge area, which for keeping a Baha nice is VERY important!

In order to renew your capt lic you need to have one period, dont know about guides lic. The reason you need it for your capt lic is to streamline the fingerprinting for the USCG.

Always run your copper like you downriggers!!!! What ever lead is working on the riggers run the same lead on your copper!!! told you it wasnt anything super! LOL!!! Its nothing the rest of you aren't already doing if you are successful with your copper! You have to remember when Paul asked me about this it was the very beginning of the copper craze.
