I've always used Scotty pinch pad releases with great results. I used the black line on the release to set my line depth in the release according to test LB I'm running on different rods. Very short learning curve and reliable. If you're getting false releases move the line deeper into the pinch pad. With the leader to the pinch pad from the ball very easy to detect a small fish through the rod tip.

My 2014 Tundra 5.7 can tow a house. LOL Pulled my 26 1/2" PY. loaded with gear and 110 gal of fuel like nothing. I was covered by insurance without a distribution hitch. Can't comment on the new ones though. I'll drive my Tundra until I croak.

Why would you run your tanks down? Just curious.

Right or wrong I've always filled my tanks to reduce water intrusion from condensation before putting to bed for the winter. Also always added fuel stabilizer and never ever had a problem on start up the following spring.

I always used a drop of epoxy in between the trebles to avoid the leader getting wedged in there and breaking while battling salmon. This was a problem with the 2x owners I always ran and the JB weld prevented this. Always worked for me and I'm of a mindset if it ain't broken don't fix it. LOL

I put the 93sv with the g54 ducer on my little boat. Unfortunately I've only fished water to 100 ft depths so far and it been flawless. I plan on a Finger Lakes trip before the end of this season ( Cayuga and Seneca) so I'll know more after.running over 400 to 600 fow. I'll post up after that.

Braid is not as finicky as wire is and easier to fish and it gets similar depth compared to wire. I would love running my braid divers as long as the fleas were not an issue. 65 lb power pro.

Usually one of the two lakes are good for LL's. How deep are your fishing and whats the water temps.

Run riggers, divers, lead-cores and coopers according to the depth of the fish on your screen and what you have on the boat . Simple as that. Good luck.

Ice cold water dictates a slow troll ( real early spring). As the water warms the browns get more active, pick up the speed but make sure to run lures that work at the faster troll.

Need a wind direction before you can determine what the water out of the bay or Oswego is going to do and a bigger issue is if the forecast is right. If the wind is moving water temps around on the open lake, Oswego, head deeper. If the water temps are consistent in the Bay fish the Bay. Good luck. Either way be safe.
