    LOL. I just read this post. Set your drag correctly. Good quality fluorocarbon leaders in relativity clear water will get you a couple more bites.

    The weather/wind report will change three or four times by then bud. Out of Olcott a NW wind shouldn't be too bad. Good luck though.

    Just remember. Folks have to take much more extensive training and tests to get a drivers license. Hows that working out. LOL

    Great advice. You had your boat out yet? I still got 12 to 16" of ice on my local ponds. It will be awhile.

    LOL. Anybody that believes the US couldn't fold the Canadian economy isn't very bright. I love my Canadian friends and don;t wish any harm to them. When your country is run by liberal idiots it;s the citizens that pay. Not to be meant political just stating facts. Take it as you wish.

    Yes theres a difference. Torpedoes or sharks will give you the least amount of blow back period. Sharks are expensive but the best. I've always run 13 lb torpedoes down to 200 ft.

    Sounds intelligent but I call BS. I was very involved in the fishery. invested and very concerned and if memory serves the USA did zero lamprey control for 2 years. 2020/2021 and very little in 2022 because of covid restrictions. Don't know what Canada did but I do know they were just as shut down as the US was during that 2 year period.

    Then you should be aware of what happened to the lamprey program during covid.

    Any federal funding thats withheld from NY state will be because your Governor declared the state as a sanctuary state. Illegals before citizens. Perhaps contact your governor about that but don't jump to conclusions as far as the fishery goes.

    My Capts license covers me in any state in the country. I read the same thing about the rental boats in NY but never did any further research on it.

    Don't know what your are referring to. Please explain as I'm not objecting to anything. I would be glad to simplify things for you. When the new administration took office in 2016 the big deal was how the great lakes would suffer, the air and water quality would suffer due to de-regulations and lack of funding. Turns out the funding increased and the Great Lakes benefited immensely. Anything else you don't understand feel free to ask. Thats my past experience.
