Sorry late, First big catch of all browns I received this year was along Iron. Bay shore line(tight) in 2 hours , a few big browns mixed in and best news of all was that ALL fish/ALL sizes had no fresh lamprey hits on them. Concern is with less lake trout to hit (hatchery problems & disease last 2 years)and most lakers left going deeper/darker waters(sculpin left/cleaner- brighter go deeper). Worried lampreys switched to easier prey browns/salmon some bows, were ever these fish wintered over in the lake past 4-5 months. Not the case so far. Sandy creek 2 boats in tight east of creek in front of house AM and PM tue 27th. Seen small fish boated. Oak orchard This april 1st weekend splash down for a few charters Waiting to get coho catch reports to see if last years record catch holds true again! Jerry REBEL

LARRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY, You still have rail system? Neighbor to the east has his tracks all bent up from HEAVEY shore ice falling in this week. When they get back from florida I will let them know about you rail system. Going to get my 4 wheeler/warn winch to try and save the upside down deck ice pulled in also. Jerry REBEL

Well, it was a good thing I had a hunting AND fishing license for that one! I actually bagged him with a 3 guage snowball(7th round) when he jumped off the ice island and did the bUck stroke to shore. Here is another atlantic caught aboard the Runnin Rebel in the last few years. This one was caught fishing for summer browns and kings off sandy creek,Hamlin ny. CLICK ON PICTURES of these atlantics and really notice the "X" spots and unique spot patterns(or lack of) on their gills and head. Jerry REBEL

Caught by scott and hans bensch -Silver Fox- out of sandy creek- Scott B on this board they are also avid Pro-Am competitors. Ray, Just read the feb.23 cleveland/great lakes ice outlook, and they report open water still on erie east of the islands and small pockets open on the erie north shore. Heavy gale winds will crack 18inches of ice easily with the water flucuations. Jerry REBEL

Tom, Actually the contrary. Lake Erie has hit a 100 year high for water temp this late in winter a few weeks ago. And living on Lake Ontario, I just received my first 50 feet of solid shore ice for this winter 2 weeks ago. It has since broken up twice and just reformed again. It is going to be a quick spring up west, (without much of an ice boom to let loose down the Niagara River) there won't be much cold water walls to hold fish over Canada side for to long or more importantly the bait will move freely.
