Very seldom accurate. I add a foot to forecast. Calling for 1-3. I figure on 2-4. It’s worked for me over these many years Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Thinking about the problem ( maybe it’s only in my mind. Lol). If I use a counter sink in the vertical tube where it sits in the mount , I could just put a dimple in the tube where I want it located. That should keep it from spinning , as long as the locking knob is kept tight. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Just picked up two Great Lakes Planer quad rod holders. I am thinking about drilling the bars to make the holders more secure. Anybody done this ? Any ideas ? I would be more confident if I knew the tree couldn’t spin and launch hundreds of dollars worth of equipment Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

The weather finally cooperated enough to work on the “new” boat. Changed oil and filter. Drained 25 gallons of 8 year old gas , soaked cylinders with marvel mystery oil. New plugs , cleaned points And crossed my fingers. Started and ran like a Swiss watch. But the raw water pump is fried. Started to overheat. New project. But no sign of freeze damage. Sigh of relief But the way. I was under the impression it had been used in the past 3 years. Found out it had not seen the water since 2011. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Many things to take into account. Size of your boat is important when the wind is blowing that hard. Expect a bumpy ride. The farther you go from shore the rougher it will get. Be cautious . Lake O can be very dangerous. And the water temps at this time of year don’t give you much of a chance if you go in the water my experience tells me if you get to windward in 20 mph winds , you can expect 4-5 foot waves Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

The “lure” of choice on the Salmon River in the snagging days. We used to stand in the bridges and laugh at the “fishermen” crossing lines , falling down , and fighting. Why more didn’t drown is a mystery the sport was watching these guys. Lol Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app -
The problem with the people proposing this bill are from downstate the assembly districts that are predominately urban , with no hunting and little fishing , except the marine fishery We must depend on the upstate assembly districts to oppose these attacks on sport the down side is the disproportionate population density the liberals push through their agenda with little chance of defeat it has little to do with freedom of speech. It is an all out attack on hunting and fishing and you can add gun ownership to the list I’d like to see what would happen to a bill like this that was introduced in say , Texas there would be many politicians lookin for gainful employment. I have a perfect example of how our sport can be used against us by media I was a gunner for the Syracuse retriever club. We would shoot ( sometimes. Lol ) hand thrown pigeons and farm raised mallards for retriever trials. The Syracuse media asked to do a story on the trails. It ended up being a story on the cruelty of shooting “ innocent “ birds. We have to be aware of our enemies Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
