  1. I’m a little concerned about the lack of size consistency in the strips. I feel a 7 “ strip will be a terrible fit for Rhys Davis meat heads. The original RD strips ( boy , do I miss those days ) were all the same length and cut and never needed to be trimmed to fit I would very much like to see pics of finished product ( out of package ) before committing to a purchase. Thank You , Mark

  3. Thrust and speed must be increased down bound to maintain steerageway or tugs must assist steering. So it probably costs more in fuel downbound The IJC commissioner just attended a public forum in Watertown She told the panel to expect more flooding for LO Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  7. As previously stated. All I have is my extensive experiences on LO and particularly the Sandy Pond area. We knew that p2014 was going to be trouble. And we were right. Before this conspiracy was adopted , we knew that by the end of Aug or early Sept. it was time to pull the boats , as the slips were getting too shallow. Boat launches needs all of the ramp to launch. Our camp on S Sandy , where normally it was waist deep , was dry. It was the norm and planned for every year. Till now. This is year after year for 50 plus years. You can say all you want , the high water is not due to IJC , St Lawrence seaway authority and p2014. The evidence says differently Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  10. The water flowing into LO from the upper lakes is at a higher rate than normal because of high levels in those lakes ( your words ). The outflow must be maintained high to allow for the increased volume from upstream. Or we will have more flooding in the spring Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. I get my fill of tangles with 3 lines per person thank you [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. Thanks. So far I’m loving it Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. I bought a complete EST ignition system this winter. I had that system on a 1992 3.0 liter and liked it I’ll install it in the spring
  14. I agree that the towns and villages benefit from the fishery. But I also maintain that it needs more restrictions. I believe that the whole of the SR should be closed to angling on say , October 15 th that would give the stream guys and the businesses in the area a chance to cash in The River could reopen , for the steelheaders after the salmon run is finished
  15. Just happened on original post from last year. Here’s the ( never ) finished project. Caught a ton of fish in Aug and Sept https://www.lakeontariounited.com/fishing-hunting/uploads/monthly_2019_12=http://r.tapatalk.com/byo?rid=74288]Lake Ontario United mobile app

  17. No debate there the water level in LO and SLR is our concern. As Oberon said “ plans within plans within plans “ we are at the mercy of the money [emoji383] Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  19. Yes very interesting study there are so many variables that have been introduced to the Great Lakes. It’s difficult to pin anything on anything All the invasives , changes in water clarity, changes in temps. And on and on. Only time will tell the story Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. In the 70’s you could fill up the bed of a pickup with smelt at most any tributary. Selkirk was a great place to dip. The introduction of the pacific salmon spelled doom to the smelt. The salmon liked them as much as we do there are still smelt in LO , but nowhere near the population that once was Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. This exact action was taken by the DEC on Little Galloo. It curtailed development of fledgling cormorants on the island. I believe it’s been stopped why , is not known
  22. They enacted the ban on the “ sport” of snagging in 1995. Maybe it’s time to limit the fishing on the Salmon River to the lower sections , say , below Pulaski. And put a “ season “ in effect. Maybe Sept 1 to Oct 1
  23. Gibbs-Delta bought out o’ki. And I’ve never seen anything good come from this company. They discontinued most of their kingfisher II colors Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. I’ll take a couple of chartreuse splatter if anyone has any Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. Try being a little less condescending and act like you care that Lake Ontario and the St Lawrence are way above flood stage and that millions of dollars in property damage have occurred since this BS plan 2014 went into effect. The St Lawrence river drains ALL of the great lakes By holding back water when it should be discharged does not make room for water flowing downstream from the upper lakes. The St Lawrence seaway council is using the GL’s as a huge reservoir. I stand by my previous statement. There is MUCH more going on behind the scenes than we can ever hope to know. Money talks and the rest doesn’t matter Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
