  1. I was unable to attend this meeting in Henderson . Here are the reports from the Watertown Daily Times . They still have a low key on news about the project and the fact that Apex was willing to provide free transportation and meals to anyone that would attend the meeting and support the wind farm , speaks volumes .The fact that the boat launches in the area will be commandeered by the construction crews is just now rearing it's ugly head .http://www.watertowndailytimes.com/news03/some-pro-many-con-at-galloo-hearing-20180815
  2. That’s the watchword “ commercial fishing vessel “. A boat trolling for salmon on Lake O is not a commercial fishing vessel. It’s a recreational vessel. It must give way to a sail boat under sail. The only time it is the stand on vessel is when the blow boat is overtaking from astern the blow boat is the give way vessel the text in the video said it was a charter boat. Which makes it a recreational vessel Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. I think aluminum boats are painted. Fiberglass is gel coat My bad. Forgot most Starcraft are aluminum. You should be able to get touch up from a Starcraft dealer Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. The “paint “ on your boat is gel coat. I have used spectrumcolor. Com They color match perfectly and make small touch up kits
  5. 28” draft you be out pushing Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. I ran past them on the way in. Talked to a guy at the launch that started in 70 -80 fow. He boated 1 king. The fish were laying in the bottom and wouldn’t budge. Kings staging ? He ran out to 130 and got into the laker action Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. Got out early this morning. Headed out to 130 fow off the finger. Bite was hot. A king right off the bat. About 15#. Then the Lakers decided to play. Landed and released 10 LT before 8:30 a double fired I landed them both solo. Don’t ask me how. One was a pig. See pic one more teen king and I called it a day at 11:00
  8. Info is going to be hard to come by with LOC derby firing up tomorrow I’m going out Sunday post my r silts then. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. His reference to “ sunken island “ had me I know the gas bouy well. Been to the wall many times Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  10. I was thinking the same thing Drowned island is just offshore from black pond and it’s a long run to deep water from there. I fish that area in the spring for Browns
  11. Great information. I am in the process of emailing the secretary. I believe Apex is trying to ram this through before any further action can take place
  12. Here’s a story on the project I hope to make the next meeting on Tuesday http://www.wwnytv.com/story/38885003/galloo-island-wind-presentation-draws-crowd#.W3P0Et82r4E.mailto Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. I hope some of the charter caps out if Henderson attend the meeting and can give us some updates Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. They are here !! Apex clean energy is having a meeting at the Henderson fire hall tonight. ( there was one last night also ). They have kept this meeting very quiet. There is no notification or coverage in the Watertown daily times or on newzjunky I hope the people of Henderson ask the right questions. Apex wants 30 turbines on Galloo island to start My biggest concern is the 30 mile long underwater cable that connects the turbines to Oswego. It will run under some of the richest fishing grounds on Lake Ontario. Will there be exclusion zones ? What effect will voltage leaking have in the fish ? These questions seem to be ignored by Apex. I wish I had known a little earlier about this meeting so I could attend. I am trying to stay on top of this , Apex seems to have gone stealth Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  15. That’s an excellent point. If you run boards and long lines at any time of year , you better have enough crew to pull boards in and perhaps long lines as well at a moments notice. Otherwise you run the risk of donating expensive tackle to the fish gods Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. Too much commotion puts the bite down. Salmon are spookey best to get away from the pack , long lines or not Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. There are a lot of inexperienced fisher people on the water That said , it gets crowded this time of year and the 500 coppers should stay in the boat. It’s unreasonable to ask other boats to give you the kind of clearance that planer boards out 150 ‘ on each side and long lines behind them. Sometimes , due to other traffic , it’s impossible to give that much leeway Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. Tried the trench for the first time this year on Sunday. Plenty of fish , but no takers headed out to 150 fow cut bait fired right away. Was having trouble with my temp probe so fished the marks ended up 1 for 3. Quit at 10 pic of screen in the trench. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. I bought 16 # torpedos from Harvey ( troutman87 ) and have never looked back. Great product from a great guy Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  20. I really can’t find a connection here unless you are trying to spout anti gun rhetoric a gun , like a fishing pole is a tool it will not , of its own accord deprive anyone of life or liberty the second amendment to the constitution gives the right to keep and bear arms and it shall NOT be infringed upon if you are anti gun , you are on the wrong venue.
  21. I was talking to my buddy that had a first hand encounter with this subject. I stand corrected. It IS legal to build a firearm for your own use. He was a heavy equip operator and was working st Remington in Ilion He got to know some of the guys at the factory and they let him take all the reject parts out of trash barrels we shot a lot of trap back then so he was building 3200 over and unders. The catch was he was selling them. The atf , troopers , Sherriff and who knows who else raided his house. He got arrested and every gun in the house was confiscated he got off with a stiff fine , but it took him almost a year to get his personal firearms back. And he had a bunch I don’t know where this 3D printing is going but I hope they find a way to stop it. Only going to make it worse for us law abiding gun owners Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. Wrong. It is against the law to manufacture firearms without a license check the BATF website Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. I hear what you’re saying. My point was , that there is a law against manufacturing firearms. So the patterns to manufacture 3D printed guns should automatically be illegal , and not available to the general public Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. It’s illegal to manufacture firearms without a license. So this whole thing should be irrelevant Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  25. I bought the hook 7 last year. Had issues with unit not turning off or turning back on by itself. It killed my battery twice. Lowrance has a weird warranty system. They want you to pay an upfront fee ( returnable) to get your unit fixed. Hook works fine now . I like the chirp. Menu is a little confusing. Steep learning curve if I had it to do over I’d buy something different Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
