They are here !! Apex clean energy is having a meeting at the Henderson fire hall tonight. ( there was one last night also ). They have kept this meeting very quiet. There is no notification or coverage in the Watertown daily times or on newzjunky I hope the people of Henderson ask the right questions. Apex wants 30 turbines on Galloo island to start My biggest concern is the 30 mile long underwater cable that connects the turbines to Oswego. It will run under some of the richest fishing grounds on Lake Ontario. Will there be exclusion zones ? What effect will voltage leaking have in the fish ? These questions seem to be ignored by Apex. I wish I had known a little earlier about this meeting so I could attend. I am trying to stay on top of this , Apex seems to have gone stealth Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

That’s an excellent point. If you run boards and long lines at any time of year , you better have enough crew to pull boards in and perhaps long lines as well at a moments notice. Otherwise you run the risk of donating expensive tackle to the fish gods Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Too much commotion puts the bite down. Salmon are spookey best to get away from the pack , long lines or not Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

There are a lot of inexperienced fisher people on the water That said , it gets crowded this time of year and the 500 coppers should stay in the boat. It’s unreasonable to ask other boats to give you the kind of clearance that planer boards out 150 ‘ on each side and long lines behind them. Sometimes , due to other traffic , it’s impossible to give that much leeway Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Tried the trench for the first time this year on Sunday. Plenty of fish , but no takers headed out to 150 fow cut bait fired right away. Was having trouble with my temp probe so fished the marks ended up 1 for 3. Quit at 10 pic of screen in the trench. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app -

I really can’t find a connection here unless you are trying to spout anti gun rhetoric a gun , like a fishing pole is a tool it will not , of its own accord deprive anyone of life or liberty the second amendment to the constitution gives the right to keep and bear arms and it shall NOT be infringed upon if you are anti gun , you are on the wrong venue.

I was talking to my buddy that had a first hand encounter with this subject. I stand corrected. It IS legal to build a firearm for your own use. He was a heavy equip operator and was working st Remington in Ilion He got to know some of the guys at the factory and they let him take all the reject parts out of trash barrels we shot a lot of trap back then so he was building 3200 over and unders. The catch was he was selling them. The atf , troopers , Sherriff and who knows who else raided his house. He got arrested and every gun in the house was confiscated he got off with a stiff fine , but it took him almost a year to get his personal firearms back. And he had a bunch I don’t know where this 3D printing is going but I hope they find a way to stop it. Only going to make it worse for us law abiding gun owners Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

I bought the hook 7 last year. Had issues with unit not turning off or turning back on by itself. It killed my battery twice. Lowrance has a weird warranty system. They want you to pay an upfront fee ( returnable) to get your unit fixed. Hook works fine now . I like the chirp. Menu is a little confusing. Steep learning curve if I had it to do over I’d buy something different Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

I bought a “case” of herring strips from A Tom Ik this past spring. I haven’t used them yet as I had a couple of packs left over from last year. 6 trays of 8 strips each cost $107 shipped in a cooler with gel packs if they work they will be worth every cent nobody said this was a cheap sport. Have you checked your rigger counter against your fish hawk. It’s an eye opener. I run 16# torpedoes and it’s still a big difference, especially in currents Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app -
