    When were the fish caught ?     You have to fish where the fish are. This time of year it's the west end. They start migrating eastward in late July. Except for the wall in the shipping lanes ( long run) the Henderson area won't see numbers of salmon till mid August Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

    I have used the 7 foot 2 piece bwd ugly sticks for several years. Tried one 7 footer about 10 years ago. Now I own 6. Love the shorter rod. And they handle big kings just fine Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

    I have posted my recipe on this forum before , but here goes . I grill my lake trout on a cedar plank . When the fish turns flakey I remove from the grill and throw the laker away and eat the plank

    Welcome to NOAA. I always add a foot or two to their wave predictions spent a lot of mornings eating breakfast instead of fishing when they predict 1 to 3.     I spent much time going back and forth with the DEC in Albany. I have an email from them stating that ANY baitfish preserved by brining can be used in NY waters.     Here's another thought. There is a key on the impeller. It may be sheared. Pumps water at idle. But impeller slips at higher rpm Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

    The flapper valve is in the exhaust tube to keep water from entering the engine in following seas if you have good exhaust flow. The valve is not the issue. Is there any contamination in your exhaust water ? Catch some and look at it Also is your cooling system open or closed ? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

    This is a sporting website , not a police blotter. And it is not personal in the context you infer. It IS personal in that I condemn his crime against the sport of wildfowling He gives us all a black eye. If you think for one second that PETA fund for animals and every other anti hunting/fishing organization in the world isn't all over stories like these you are sadly mistaken.     Saiff absolutely deserves the wrath of this site and every law abiding sportsman in the US. He has betrayed his honor and deserves any and all discipline that the federal and state courts deem appropriate. We , as sportspeople , need to send a message that this is unacceptable behavior.     The Saiff "fleet " have been running rough shod over the eastern end of Lake O for years. I've had his boats start setting up within feet of my rig in the past. And then get on the radio and tell his other boats I am crowding him.
