  1. Carpedeim, I have run straight 20lb Ande for the last 10 years with a Flouro leader and never had any problems with break offs , just a novice that thought he'd SLAM the hook home after a 200 yrd. run on a big king last year. As far as 4 releases you did good we were 1 for 2 and it was a 1 lb king 50 down over 190' on a DW Sniznit SS 40 back. Keep at it , it's going to get a lot better in a few weeks, just need to get threw the June set up period then all hell breaks lose out there.
  2. Brian, IF ya still got it consider it sold !!! Next time I'm at the Marina and Your there will hook up. Call me 309-2419 or PM me might be out Sun.6/5
  3. At least you SAW him, all we got over at Sandy was a THUNDERING HORN that scared the S!@T out of us and put us on high alert till we knew he was just to are north about the time we could hear the prop churning a couple hundred yards behind us
  4. Small and Orange or bright red and don't be afraid to crank up the speed. 2.8 or 3.0
  5. Team Nothin But Net was out this morning and made a go of it. Ended the morning at 10:30 with 3 steelhead and 2 small kings. 330' out to 350' then south/southeast troll all the way in to 25'. We never touched a fish inside 100' of water. Temps were 3 deg. warmer and perfect green water inside with bait but no fish. hope it sets up quick I'd like to get back out on Mon. AM
  6. Batter up This happens every year and it ALWAYS seems to be a licensed captain that thinks he owns the lake
  7. Man that sucks , but trust me we all learn form our mistakes. Some times we can learn from other peoples mistakes too. Spool it back up and have at it. Don't think about how much it cost or your gonna make your self sick .... wire 50, dipsey 12, flasher 10, fly 5 yeah I feel your pain
  8. I have a used 3 blade ballistic prop for a 15 spline omc outboard. Came off an Evinrude Etec. 14 3/8 " dia. 21" pitch It's in good shape and the hub has never been spun. Anyone for a 100 bucks ???. Listed at $ 425 when I bought it in 05'
  9. Nice to see that there are a few kings around, Jammer I can't help but ask, why would you only have 600' of wire if it came in a 1000' spool ? I've always but the whole thing on a 47 lc and NEVER been worried about being spooled... yeah I've had it out over 800' but when that happens your always runnin it down.
  10. This was a great event even though mother nature threw us a bone last year... you can count Team Triple S in for sure
  11. Ray, you are something else..... don't confuse the guy he just asked for a little help.

    Perch Action

No, we don't have lock jaw we're just done chasing after fish that have spawned out most of us have moved on to walleye, trout , salmon , pike and some of us even bass fish if you can believe that
  13. Thanks guys I knew they (Moor) would fix it just wondering if anyone, Rochester based works on them. Not a big deal going to send it off to Buffalo this week.
  14. I know that I can replace the paddle wheel in the probe with no problems but, my readout never goes above 2.75 even if I'm flying. I think the needle is screwed up. Is there anywhere local that will "tune it" or should I box it up and send it to Buffalo?
  15. Thanks for the report Scott, unfortunately your not helping me make up my mind. Drive to the Niagara or fish right here at home. Report is cold water in the river and that's not helping, but there have been alot of big fish weighed in today from over there......
  16. Tell us what it is your looking to catch and I'm quite sure that there's someone on this forum that can steer you in the right direction. As far as the piers the river is way to muddy right now too think of any good results unless you went out on Charlotte and threw spoons to the green water off to the east. It will get much better once the rain settles down and we start to get some green water. The finger lakes have some of the BEST fishing in North America. Narrow down what info your looking for and I'll share what I can with you, I've caught my fair share of trophies right here
  17. My advise would be get east of the mud plume from the Genesee River and work toward Braddocks Bay. Some of the best fish have been east of Rochester and there's good size in the mix. Good luck, run natural colors at or inside 10' and back 75' to 125' Tight Lines, Steve
  18. Would think that Sampson should be fine it's usually about 4' off the water anyway so if it's as high as they say it is might be able to step right off and in to your vessel. Just remember your going to be idling every where you go there's a no wake rule in place right now. Tight Lines, Steve
  19. Why don't they just tell us we can't fish any of the Fingerlakes, this SUCKS ..... of course I'm fishing Lake Ontario for the derby. Good luck this weekend guys and gals Tight Lines, Steve
  20. Seneca is under a "NO WAKE" ordinance so you better plan on launching close to where you want to fish..... Tight Lines, Steve
  21. The mud from the MIGHTY Niagara has you in her spell. After Lake Erie settles down it will be gangbusters for all of us. Bob thank you for sharing we the rest of us.... it's Captains like your self that make our online forum what it is Tight Lines, Steve
  22. Go west young man, go west....this weekend produced over 65 fish browns, kings, cohos,a pike and a smallmouth. West of Rochester is REALLY good right now Abe. Tight Lines, Steve
  23. That's it Gator next you can wash your own tackle If it wasn't for MY stickbaits we would have done squat....... we'll i'd like to take some credit for our 20+ day Tight Lines, Steve
  24. REALLY ??????? We had some of the best trips in a few years, you had to know were to look but they were there in GOOD numbers and yes the size was there. Tight Lines, Steve
