With the 1ft. contour Navionics+ is hard to beat

To get a very high details map you need 2 things:1st: update youre Elite so you will be getting all the capabilities of the Navionics card and get a Navionics+ so you will benefit of the soanrchart: 1ft contour If you want to see how it looks, get on that page and zoom in until the blue button on the left bottom corner is active and cllck on it. http://webapp.navionics.com/?lang=en#@6&key=erqgGjmfrM

To get all the details (1ft. contour) on youre IPhone you need to activate the sonarcharts

I suspect that you have a 83/200 To find out about the one youre running just check near the blue connector on the transducer cable there is a aluminium label with the model written on it. If you read HST-WSBL it is a 83/200

What are you lookig to "see" on the network? You won't be able to share map between the 2 because the Gen1 doesn't work with sharing map. Networking with a ethernet cable you will be able to share waypoints and sonar

The Elite9 Chirp comes with a 83/200/455/800 or a 50/200/455/800. For the inland water the 83/200/455/800 is perfect and you will be able to "Chirp" at Meium and High frequency. That $300 rebate is excellent and you will be getting a super unit. If you own a card from another company you can use a Navionics Update card to get a Navionics+ card. This is place since March 2015 The only difference between using a Navionics Update card with a older Navionics card version is: you can use any other brands that are list on my 1st post and you will be ending with a Navionics+ and you are still own you're Bluechart or Insight or wathever. Sick today so I didn't read youre post correctly. The card that are part of a bundle contain all the US & Canada but without the SonarCharts. To get the SonarCharts you need to go on Navionics website, creat an account and download the region you want to fish. For a period of 1 year you can get all the new things taht are uploaded by other users, it's call Freshest Data. After a year you can renew youre update for another year for $99. The card size is 2gig and a Platinium is 16Gig

SonarCharts are on the Navionics+ and on the Platinium. I don't know much about Raymarine but on a Lowrance or a HB you need to activate a function name: FishNchip. Not all the units can run that function. See the compatibility doc. on the Raymarine website (bottom right) If youre unit can read the sonarchart you can purchase the Navionics Update and use the older card to unlock and the update will become a Nav+ then you download the region or lakes you are fishing.
