  1. You have a chance to win a fishing or hunting trip in the province of Quebec with the top outfitters in the province. http://quebecultimatedestination.com/ Pick fishing or hunting Good luck
  2. Interesting article: http://www.accuweather.com/en/weather-news/great-lakes-nearly-devoid-of-ice-as-el-nino-influenced-warmth-dominates-early-winter/55155718
  3. They are on sale now until end of February. $30/off http://www.navionics.com/en/news/save-navionics-your-gps
  4. Even the regular Lowrance transducer can be use on CHIRP and it gives excellent result. The specific transducer for CHIRP is the TM150 and he is superior. Last season I use CHIRP all the time and on most of the case I use the Medium frquency; I was using the regular 83/200 HST-WSBL. Next season I will be using the TM150 with my Gen3. For those that want to get everything without the networking high end of the HDS you can get the new Elite7 Ti Touch screen with the new Totalscan transducer: CHIRP, Structurescan, wifi, bluetooth and more at a very affordable price (around $750)
  5. The LCX series and specially those big units were and still excellent unit.
  6. YSk8man has done a excellent post. With the new Lowrance Generation you have the CHIRP function that is a major improvement for detecting fish and baitfish. If you don't need to network multiple unit you can get the new Elite 7Ti with the HDI transducer or if you think you can use the structure and sidescan you then choose the new Totalscan transducer. The Elite run for around 600-700$ so if you think the 7 is to small you can get 2. You are getting touch screen,2D, downscan with the HDI ducer,2D,CHIRP and if you choose the Totalscan you got all this + sidescan, WIFI, Bluetooth,NMEA2000 and you can also buy the bundle that include a Navionics+ for about $50 more on a card that is selling $200. http://www.lowrance.com/en-US/Products/elite-ti/ http://www.lowrance.com/en-US/Search/?query=totalscan
  7. Be careful with the wood you are going to use: Aluminum is especially vulnerable to corrosion when in contact with copper-rich lumber. That's why it's essential to use copper flashing anywhere near pressure-treated wood. http://www.canada.co...f1-97cf362d841d http://www.oaa.on.ca...ated wood alert http://www.naturalha...tra/infpre.html There is some pics from a work that a guy did on a Lund
  8. Excuse-me but you're wrong about the tracking. I use it multiple of times and it's an excellent tracking. It's a agreement between USPS and Canada Post. I kne I'm now retire but it was one of the project that my team implemented with the USPS guys and it's the same for a shipper that sent a package from Canada to US. If I think about this the next time I buy something in the US I will get screen shot of my tracking and showed you. The last thing that I sold on this site was Lowrance 12" Gen2 sent by Canada Post with tracking to a buyer in the state if I remember it was in New-Jersey. Merry Christmas!
  9. As for the cost if the buyer is willing to pay it's no problem and for my part I don't find that too expensive if you choose the regular shipping and you add the confirmation (tracking) and I can tell you since the last 2 years the tracking with USPS even in Canada the tracking is excellent. With Fedex and UPS it's a lot more costly and on top, the receiver has to pay the broekage fees and the minimum is $50. For me it's USPS with confirmation or nothing. Shipping has become expensive even for our own country; even if the price of gazoline went down the cies forgot to lower the shipping cost.
  10. I don't understand why a seller won't ship to Canada! There is millions of parcels that are ship to Canada every year. I buy and sale fom both countries and I have no problem. If the buyer want's to pay for the shipping what's the problem?
  11. The STX 20150 is 19deg. at the transom, the 196 is 19 and the Fishmaster 210 is 15deg. that makes a huge difference specially on speed and getting on plane. The more the V the more you need lift and power; and the 210 is 1" narrower.
  12. A friend of mine is running a Princecraft Corsice (alu boat) a 1992 and he charter on lake Ontario and no leaks and his boat has been survey or check by Transport ministry in Ontario.
  13. Unfortunatly this kind of problem occur very often on Tracker hull. Good luck and wish this issue will be fix at youre convenience.
  14. Very cool! http://www.connectscale.com/
  15. To save on duties and shipping you ask the seller to ship with USPS and in most of the time the parcel just go through the customs without any charge. As for the exhange unfortunatly there is no way to escape this; I know very well I own a camp upstate NY and I'm a Canadian; so everything is costing me +30% They this this to promote the Canadian exportation but listning to the news this morning our exportation is not doing well at all. Since the free trade with Mexico the uS industries save more buying and manufaturing in that country then buying from us. Good time for a US citizen to buy Canadian boat in Canada; no tx, no duties an you save 30%. Princecraft is a excellent example; you can compare a Princecraft to a Lund anytime. I know because I use to own a Princecraft and a Lund. I'm going back to Princecraft. http://www.princecraft.com/us/en/products/Fishing-Boats/2016/Platinum-SE-Series/Platinum-SE-186.aspx
  16. Not sure about the bracket. Muxh faster processor, you can add a strucure scan transducer directly in the back and so easy with the Touch screen
  17. One thing to consider with Navionics is the fact they always improving with people that log with their units as I do. I run a Lowrance Gen3 and it's always link with my Navionics Boating app on my old IPhone that I use only for that; so once at home I connect my IPhone to my home wifi and sent my daily logs to improve the mapping and some of my friends are also doing the same so it become a community work improvement. The other thing with Navionics you can see what you get by looking at the webapp in youre living room, so you can make a smart decision. ILink works only if it's a HD lake I think? LO is a HD? For certain bodie of water both are good maps but if you ever decide to buy another brand of sonar-gps the Lakemaster won't work; with the Navionics the same card can be use in a Lowrance and a HB
  18. If compatible with Platinium it is also compatible with all the other card.
  19. If compatible with Platinium it is also compatible with all the other card.
  20. Don't forgot that you can have the Navionics+ on youre phone or tablet. http://www.navionics.com/fr/mobile-pc-app-2
