  1. Too many posts to wade through- are we still on for July 19? -Andy
  2. I'll be fishing Oak/Olcott alone Sunday 7-13 and Monday 7-14. Looking for somebody to fish with me in my Islander those 2 days. -Andy
  3. Thanks for the report & nice job on the kings. Time to get back fishing from the sounds of it!
  4. Nice! Should have gone to LO today by the sounds of it. Thanks for the report.
  5. Launched out of Long Pt. Hit Sheldrake Pt and AES, 50-180 FOW w/ riggers at 30/40/60 + 8 & 10 colors on the boards, various spoons. No really consistent pattern for us but greenish rigger spoons took some fish (lakers & browns and a few short salmon) and core and colored stuff did not. Trolled back to LP from AES pulling a 400 copper down the chute with a NBK Mag, E-chip spoon which took several lakers. Wires w/ FF combos took a couple fish when we crossed the lake but nothing on the way back. Never felt like I really knew what I was doing but super nice day to be out!
  6. Yeah, all right, got swept up & got some spoons from FLX Tackle and a few custom flashers from Salmon Candy. Will attempt to give a somewhat objective report. The spoons were all pairs to run as MUPS or sliders, & the flashers we're theoretically early am material so we'll see what gives on that. Gotta love summer. Later. -Andy
  7. Nice! ... touche guys, balls in your court. As for us , we're fishing cayuga tomorrow- i don't go in for hero worship (LOL) -Andy
  8. I'm talking about Pine Grove. Never launched at the lighthouse & not sure I want to.
  9. Mine is an I/O with a 4 stroke kicker. As Hank at L&M has said " there's enough gear in that boat for 10 rigs" so my boat is heavy and counter weighted in the nose so it sits down in the water. Never had a real problem at PO launch. Like older launch's everywhere it has a few quirks but as long as you don't back in off the concrete you should be fine. The right side has a lop sided hump as you come out but I didn't think it was real bad to deal with. Take it slow 1st time in/out and I can't see why you would have a real problem. That being said don't do anything you don't want to do. I'm a farmer and I'm used to taking chances with everything everyday so what seems ok to me might not be your cup of tea. Remember, this is supposed to be fun so don't turn it into work! -Andy
  10. I've put mine in there many times, no need to go all the way to mexico pt.
  11. Nice job wrassling them lakers in!
  12. Why don't we let this guy try and sell his well set up boat without derailing his post. (even if, as an Islander owner, the price seems a bit steep)
  13. I think it makes a difference to run mag dipsy divers as the inside diver when running slide divers on the outside. The mags dive much sharper & don't mix it up w/ the silde divers.
  14. You could consider running slide divers on super braid for pulling spoons. You can run a really long 20lb flouro lead to the spoon from the diver and after the fish hits, the diver slides down to a bead 10" or so from the spoon. I really like the stealthy advantages that this setup provides. I usually run the slide divers on 3 to the outside and my regular wire mag dipsy divers on 1.5 to the inside. If the fish really want wire & FF combos I break out my 2cd set of wire diver rods (10') and run std size divers set on 3 for my outside setups.
  15. Hate to say it but, the best spoons are the ones you run with confidence while watching speed, depth and temp. This why so many different colors and sizes work for so many different people.
  16. I'll have to check it out (like I need another spoon. LOL)
  17. Dang dude I guess I gotta know what's a " ! b fuller left over pizza" ?
  18. Sounds like a good day Aaron! Nice report. -Andy
  19. Nice job! Thanks for a great post. -Andy
  20. This guy 'kicknback' is unreliable, and does not follow through . I would strongly suggest you look elsewhere.
  21. Run my i/o & ob on plain jane regular but still want to pow wow. -Andy
  22. Right... Guy's got a smartphone, and he's 'online' all the time.
  23. Thanks Chris! Got a big 3/4 inlet hose, so I ordered the Jabsco kit. Gonna leave the livewell drain setup as is, since we toss fish in there untill we have time to deal with them. Sure will be handy to blast that baby out without the bucket program!
