Thanks guys. We were just flat lining harnesses out 100 to 150ft back. We do not think the harnesses were deep enough when we swung out over 30ft of water. Do you guys usually troll with them right on the bottom using some weight to get them there? Coup

Got the Godfrey launch around 3pm and fished till dark. I am new to this lake and this type of fishing so the wife and I stayed right out front of the launch and trolled for most the time. Marked a ton of fish but could only get one walleye to hit a worm harness in 13ft of water. Lots of weeds floating fowling up the inline boards and baits. Very drizzly day but good start to vacation and testing out the new boat also went well.
  3. I went out of Hughs just to the east of you this am and fished 90 to 130 fow. Took my dad and mom out for their yearly trip and had a very good morning. Purple glitter R&R mupped down 70' and stinger alwive mag. down 90 took shots on the riggers. Carmel dolphin and a black spin doctor with glow tape and green dots took shots on the wires out 220 and 260. Lost a few majors and boated a few with a nice brown to boot. Ended up 5 for 12 or so. Bite died for us about 9am.
  4. Anyone know of a good campground near this Lake? Preferably with full hook up. In the past we have gone to Sampson State park and fished Seneca but I would like to have some walleye to chase. Thanks in advance guys. Coup
  5. I'll fourth Hank's the man. He is across from Pier One on the west side of Port bay.
  6. I arrived just in time to witness the filleting. Eskimo Joe had the whip out making his dad do all the work and Hank was telling the little guy he had to rinse his hands off in the slimy bucket of water. Should have seen his face, priceless.
  7. Fished the north west part of Port Bay and it was a ghost town on the aqua view. 5hrs produced three keepers. I did run into a guy changing his oil on the way out. Had to stop and give him some assistance. Good seeing you Hank as always. Coup

    Port Bay

We've been hammering the perch if anyone is wondering. Lots of nice ones this year.
  9. Nice Tim, I had one take the back hook off a fly last year. Sounds like things are hot out there right now. Keep killing them bud. Coup
  10. Nice Dave. That's a sweet atlantic. No big kings yet? They seem to be scarce. Coup
  11. Good time for sure but you can keep Sundays conditions. Man was it rough. I'm sure we weren't the only ones close to "man over board". We called it quits early being out of the running for a top ten finish. I think we made our observers day. Good to see ya Mike at the weigh in. Coup
  12. Jim, That is correct. Total score for the three fish was 101. Timmy and Dale had big grins from ear to ear. We got schooled the first day of the pro am on brownie fishing. We are a new team and have a lot to learn. Lesson #1 Boxing out is a must, even if it's brownies. We love to shark fish and the numbers are not here this year. Coup
  13. Tom, Hats off to you for making a decision as I am sure they are not made carelessly and then letting us know it was you. Someone has to make them. I would rather see strict than a free for all. Could you please make it clear in the rules that standing in line is changed to standing in line with your cooler. I was not fishing with them today but will be in the future and we are a learning team for sure. The more detail and clarification that can be put in the rules helps new teams from having hard feelings in instances such as this and turning their backs to these types of events. See ya at the Sodus Pro am. Coup
  14. Dale, If you look real close you'll see tooth picks holding my eyes open. Surprisingly that king was in the boat in five min. or less. Timmy had that big boy skipping on the surface. Coup
  15. Paul, Can't complain about that trip buddy. Sounds like you had some fun. Were you Solo or did you have the boss with ya letting you drive?
  16. Does the captain of the team have to be the owner of the boat? Reason I ask is that the owner may not be able to make the captains meeting. Thank you in advance. Coup
  17. Nice Dale. Sounds like the boat is running good. How did you make out with the floor project? Getting tired of carrying a stick but hopefully it's over soon. Coup
  18. Another vote for Hank!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Nice Dale, good to see ya got out. No fishing for me till I'm off strike at the MOTT's plant in Williamson. The 555million dollars they made in profit last year wasn't enough and because of the economy they feel they can step on us hard. Last I checked, NO CASES=NO PROFIT. Just a waiting game now. Coup
  20. I got jerked around pretty good. Five units and 1 1/2 years later finally have one that works. Total of about 10hrs waiting then trouble shooting only to receive the same unit back twice with the same problem then on top of that about 12$ to ship it each time X5. Receive last unit in Nov. In Jan. receive an INCIDENT report because I didn't ship back a backup unit they sent me which didn't work right, Sonar only, gps screwed up, but at least I had the sonar. They threatened to put my name on the list of no service till they got back there other unit. I called them up and asked them were nearest launch was were I could test it out. They are simply brilliant and I'm proud to be on the bad boy no service list. I told her if she whats the unit send out a rep. Good Luck Coup
  21. I'll give it a shot. I've got a newer Lowrance but that could be it. I might just go out and shut everything down, engine included, and see what it does for starters and fire one thing up at a time. It's weird how the speed is ok but temp is bouncing all over. Thanks for all the suggestions guys. Coup
  22. LB 88 This time of year is slow for kings. Come the last two weeks in July and all of August in this part of the lake seems to be the best time for some good king action. Last years Sodus Pro am was crazy. Coup
