Guy,
You can fish for bass in the shallow edges along the west shore from Buck Point south. On the east side from Martins Point south to Burtis point in shallow water near the drop-offs. (on both sides). You can fish for perch on the north end just out of the inlet in 20- 30 fow using minnows. I usually troll for lakers from Buck Point down the west side to Fays Point. Laker bite is slow now though.

Ray,
I've never met you or Musky, but I feel like I know you both from reading all of your posts here. My prayers are with Musky, I've been in a similar situation and I'm sure he will get the best of care, and be out on the water soon.

I have one rod with 30# flea flicker. I loaded the other 3 reels yesterday with 30 # berkey big game mono per Billy V's advice. Had 15# Berkley big game mono on the other 3 previously.

This is an Atlantic salmon:
This is a Brown out of the Salmon River this winter:
Notice the mouths and tail differences as stated in the previous posts.
Billy,
How far is Milliken from Long Point launch? I live in Auburn and fish Owasco, but would like to get out on Cayuga since I'm only about 15 minutes from Union Springs, and 30 ? from Long Point.
First time using cowbells tonight. Slow fishing on Owasco, but did hook up this one on south end of lake in 80 fow. Chartreuse cowbells with a stinger (hot pink w/black eye) spoon. I was using Blacks releases and have had luck with them on lakers??? The cannons would either not release or get false releases.
Nice fish... I was thinking of going down there, but decided it was too much trouble to launch at the village launch, as you described. One person I know in Cooperstown said there was a launch at the State park??? Don't know where that is thoigh.
Nice fish Jeremy! I have to get out there sometine this spring...almost summer to try my luck. Just been to Fairhaven once 2 months ago and caught a brown and a small king on boards. Hangin out on Owasco mostly...went 2 for 3 on Wednesday night in the rain trollin for lakers.

Went out trolling for lakers this afternoon on Owasco in the rain! Hooked up on the 23 inch laker in 60 fow using a silver flasher with a DW spoon (I think) Red and pink with black spots and a large black eye. The smaller laker caught on a nbk green spoon behind a silver flasher. Lost one other large laker at near the boat also on the green nbk spoon. Cold and wet day, but good to get a few fish.
I'm new at this, so excuse me if I didn't have the correct types of spoons listed.

Nice fish!!! Good job ! I live right around the corner from Emerson and am out on Owasco all the time, but no luck yet this year. Going out Tuesday or Wednesday evening to give it a try again.
Jim
Nice looking fish...good going. I was out there on Wednesday getting knocked around in 3' waves. Caught one 16" brown and a 15" coho on JR-11 off boards. I did purchase the lure you caught your fish on, but I didn't try it yet. Looks like I should have put my riggers down! Most fish we marked were down 6-8 fow out of the cute to the west. I'm a rookie just learnin
17'....there was a lot of stone washed up against the north wall before the bridge. This makes the channel narrow, but I believe I could get through ok. Thanks for the response.
