This looks like the kiss of death for Milliken, the info I'm getting is a 25 million hit that and reduction in generation it looks ugly. The station is the largest taxpayer in Lansing and employs 70 workers.

Actually what we're joking about is this kayak that we saw at Cabelas yesterday all tricked out. Minkota motor in the center that lifts up for hauling in a pick-up, foot pedals wired to a rear rudder, sonar, live well, bicycle flag etc and all kinds of other good stuff with tax and extras around a mere $3500 especially designed for finger lakes perch

Drove by it today Andy it's open but low low low, we got hung up a few years back!

T-Falls is wide open but low be careful....hip boots might be a good idea. We had trouble loading last week. As for AES it's running at 20% and it doesn't look like it will change until it closes, the water is returned at 20 degrees above what it's brought in at so the discharge is minimal! I don't know if this is enough warm water to draw the silvers!

Ithaca has what is called a load pocket until the transmission line is completed from the PASNY lines in Auburn AES will be online but used on demand as the ISO dictates. It supports the lansing area because of the substation (Milliken) is in Lansing which distributes the power to Ithaca. It's a shame to lose the station not only because of the jobs but I believe it's the biggest taxpayer in Lansing, I hope it isn't like Goudey in Union it will sit there for decades because no one can afford to dismantle it! It could have been converted but that's where the politics start oh well! Back to fishing!

They still discharge just that the plant runs for voltage support for the Ithaca area because of that nasty fracking gas is cheaper, coal is expensive and dirty so the plants days are numbered. So NY has the best of both worlds we **** & scream and let someone else do the work just like the welfare system..........had to vent...sorry Going to try in front of the plant today!

How deep are you running? I've found more fish in deep water but nothing up so I'm looking to drop down

The top water bite has been tough for us this year plenty of skippers in the 30' range but nothing worth shouting about, we'll keep looking they're somewhere. The DEC must have release a pile of LLs we try to stay clear of them but it's tough. I think the next outing we're going to have to look deeper!

Haven't been out in a bit we did real good in the 50' range with small stingers a few weeks ago but what we really look forward to is when the temp drops and the top water action starts guess it will be a while. I question how many of those little LLs and bows actually survive after being caught so it makes sense to try to stay clear of them if possible!

They stuck to everything wire, mono, & braid like I said earlier just like July. We couldn't find an area that was clear. I'm done until they're gone, I like light tackle and those nasty things take the fun out of the sport. We've put some nice browns in the boat on small stingers from 6 lbs to 13 lbs about 40' down too bad those things showed up. We put everything back!
