  1. We've been on Cayuga a few times since the fleas died off and have done fair on the browns from the drop outside Tremaine to Willow Creek, today however the fleas were as thick as I've seen them in July!!! Is it because of the hot humid weather that we've had? Usually when they die off they're gone but I've never seen them return like this, we couldn't shake them. They were thick wherever we went! We boated 1 decent brown everything else was small! Can anyone explain this or is this a usual event!
  2. Cleaning house Perko switch, trailer alignment bracket with receiver free to good home....PM me in Binghamton area or in the trash they go
  3. Me too....I need to be somewhere this weekend! Cabin fever Andy?????
  4. I agree with E-Rabbit!!!! I had the same reasoning plus I wanted to save $$$ however my dealer talked me out of it and I'm glad he did. I added a troll Master and with the controls by the helm & the TM it was well worth it. It's a small investment considering everything else but it's easy to spend someone else $$$$$.
  5. Glen Quick....Eagle Rock Charters by Union Springs. He has made rods for me. If interested I'll PM his phone numbers.
  6. Great........keep us posted
  7. Please let us now how you make out, buying APs has become complex mainly because the units are constantly changing. I owned a Simrad AP12 that I eventually had to replace most of the electronics then I'm hearing that the unit was discontinued and parts aren't available. I understand it was made by a vendor for Simrad. I'm sticking with Garmin for that reason APs are a pain when there are problems
  8. I had the 3 Raymarine X5s and it gave me fits I replaced it with the Garmin GHP 10 and love it
  9. Streamers are rigged alone, we put a bead chain about 6' above the streamer it gives it a small amount of weight. As for bait we simply haven't found any large amounts other than deep deep deep maybe when the water cools more they'll come up!
  10. Started at T_Falls and headed south found most of the bait (not a lot) south of the park. We didn't find much of a pattern used stick baits, streamers, & spoons, the largest LL was about 5 lbs and came off a streamer. We finished the day with about 10 fish several LLs (one about 5 lbs), a Brown, and one laker & a toothy critter in the picture! Just our third time out and each trip is getting a little better but it looks we're going to have to work at it more to find a pattern.
  11. BTW...be careful most don't admit they know him!!!
  12. No....his hunting/fishing partner.
  13. It's going to be a slow recovery (eels)! I was surprised (happy) that we didn't get many small LLs. I would like to think that the DEC would step up the stocking because of the eel issue!
  14. Beautiful day on Cayuga, actually too nice, the lake was flat without a ripple. Not much action 2 small lakers, 3 LLs all undersized. We tried the shallow water on the flats in Ithaca and boated a large pickerel and a northern about 10 lbs so not much to report other than it was great to be on the lake. There was only 2 shore guys at T-Falls so I'm assuming things are still slow on Cayuga. We'll keep trying
  15. I'm waiting for Mother nature to cooperate and I'll be there!
  16. I'm looking for some info on Rivera planer board masts. I understand that they automatically take up the slack on turns when they stall. any info would be appreciated.

  18. Most of my use is in the winter, just like finsntins said!!!
  19. Thanks Jason, I have 300s on my long rods and I love them, they're light but fun but too small for lead. Hope all is well with you, I'm sure we'll cross paths this winter.
  20. Jason, They'll hold 10 colors? Why not the line counters? There is a chance that I could put mono on them. Thanks
