  1. Thanks, All I use is a muzzle loader, makes you think a little longer on when to pull the trigger
  2. This is what you get when hunting a DMU that does NOT have permits. From a friends house window at lunch time.
  3. QDM does work Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. I have a 2004 Johnson 4 stroke kicker motor, starting to show some fouling on the plugs as if it's choked. Runs good but want to check it out over the winter. What kind of range should I be looking for on compression. I figure I'll start there as its pretty easy to check thanks Scott
  5. yeah give him another year. I would put him at 2.5 years. 4.5 years are the real shooters. Wait to you see him next year and now have to decide to keep the bow down another year! Good luck this year.
  6. I'm going lowrance Live 9 as well. I'm satisfied with the research I've done on it. Really like the live feature, will be nice for perch and jigging lakers Sent from my SM-T280 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. I would agree to still alive, there is a small window a little back and high where you can right through and not hit anything to put him down. This morning deer search WNY had 20 calls, me and my Reddog are dead tired. If you don't see him drop wait a minimum 2 hours, try to only track with no more than 2 people, as said mark the trial 5' off the ground. Gut shot come back tomorrow and you will find him pretty quick, dead. Good luck and I hope I don't hear from you, just kidding were here to help Scott
  8. I had a mouse nest made mostly of dryer sheets once. The best I have come to believe is a baited trap. I have seen the electronic boxes that claim to keep mice away but have never used them. Now i have a heated shop and cant keep the mice out, but the good old peanut butter trap gets em the 1st day they get it Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. Works as it should. Selling because I'm upgrading to the HDS Live in the spring and I don't have the space for 2 units. Bought last spring (2018) and with the cover I have $565 invested. Comes with downscan high/mid chirp transducer, snap on Lowrance cover, operation manual, copy of manual for on the boat. thanks for looking Scott
  10. It's time.... To be in the woods, the rut is on. Our calls have shot up since Monday, all ways a sign the bucks are on the move Sent from my SM-T280 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  12. Deer Search is always open for new members. Your kids can become licensed trackers with the DEC. Any dog can do a good job if you train it. I have some kind of mixed breed that is in her 8th year and Reddog loves it. Both of our chapters have training sessions and I would be happy to teach someone as well. As all you dog owners know its just repetition when it comes to training. Check out both web sites and come along on a track and your kids will want to get in on the action. The down side is it takes away from my hunting time, but the smile on young hunters face when you recover that doe is well worth the trade off to me. Scott
  13. Mike, That's a ways but it all depends on who's available. I have driven over an hour to reach a hunter. Stay off the trail, mark the trail and when you call in state that you have done this. We get a lot of calls and the screening of the calls is the first step to getting a call back and a dog out to help.
  14. Yes, that confuses the dog I Sent from my SM-T280 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. Hope you never need it but... Finger Lakes Chapter 585.935.5220 Western NY Chapter 716.648.4355 One tip that is extremely helpful to us trackers is marking the trail. I tell hunters to use tissue paper every 20' or so up high not on the ground. Then you can use this to look back and see (somewhat) the direction the deer is headed. Best of all is it helps us even more, because more than once I have gone on a track and hunters cant show me the hit site, let alone the trail it took. Good luck and I hope I don't hear from you. Scott
  16. Looks like you are going a bank up job with the details. I would now pay attention to not letting any water even thinking about getting to the underside of your floor. Caulk all screws before installing and Caulk the edge of the floor before and after you lay it down. Good for another 75 years! Sent from my SM-T280 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  19. Anyone ever use spray on bed liner stuff, I have an aluminum floor and considering this, up the gunnels, and all. I did a roll on by Grizzly in a open air Jeep that is holding up great so I think it would be fine in the boat too. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
